Russia has a broken wing and lands in America's back yard. America takes care of him and nurses him back to health and they get along great and it's adorable
But then Russia's wing is all healed and he can fly back home and his family is worried sick and Russia feels as though he's been a burden to America so he leaves him a note and intends to leave before he wakes up but he makes too much noise and America comes to see him off
America takes his face in his hands and presses their foreheads together saying something like, "this is goodbye, but it's not the end."
And then Russia flies off.
