As I began to come too, my head pounding violently.

Ugh... It's probably from controlling that fire... I guess I can't shower for a week now.

As I tried to open my eyes, I halted as I heard two voices. I relaxed and listened to them argue above me.

"But... She tried to kill me! She fought back! Why do we have to keep her? You never kept the ones that nearly killed your proxies! Why keep the one person that can defeat me?" I could recognize the voice of the person that attacked you.

I found it slightly amusing that he was pouting over the fact I could defend yourself from him.

"Child, I will not hear another word of it. We are keeping her. She is a person I have watched for a very long time... Now that she is of age, she can finally help us with defeating him."

"Slender, we can keep him down just fine! We don't need some stupid human girl to stop him!" The person yelled back.

"Jeff, if you dare disrespect the child of such a powerful and ancient Phoenix you will be cursed. She's the first child to be born from the ash of a phoenix. The first child to be the product of a phoenix and human having a child. I, too, thought she was normal until I saw her ability. She can help us weaken him. Defeat him for a long, long time. She is something much more powerful than we can imagine. She is something that Zalgo fears. She's the child of the first blood, the oldest mythical being ever known. And she has quite certainly proved her worth since she was able to defeat someone like you. Now get out of my sight before I yell at you. We've already caused our guest to wake up."

I grew numb, realizing the thing with the abnormally booming voice knew I was awake.

But... How? I thought to myself as I forced your eyes open.

"Child, I can hear your thoughts. It's as if you're speaking them yourself, and I can sense your state of mind. As you can see, the person you fought with was Jeff. Also, more commonly known, as Jeff the Killer. Now, rise. I will be introducing you to others. Jeffrey, go gather them in the living room."

The person I had fought before left as I painfully got up, rubbing the back of my head. I winced when I hit the spot I had been hit at.

"I do apologize for that wound. EJ patched it up as best as I could. Oh, where are my manners? I am Slender man. I watch over people that are like Jeff. There are a few others, but not many. Now I'm going to let you get changed. Come downstairs and take a left when you are ready."

I nodded as he left suddenly. Turning my head, I saw an outfit neatly folded, waiting for me.

I picked it up and changed into it, before looking at myself in the mirror.

It was white and black, similar to one of those school outfits you'd see. It was like a big white button-up shirt with a black noodle-strap dress over it, with a bow and curved folds near the neck. The socks that went with it almost reached my knees, and I saw I was also in black heels.

Although this didn't really match what I usually wore, it'd do.

I turned, opened the door, and followed the directions Slender had told me.

Turning left, I walked into a room with a bunch of other people.

"Dang, who's the hottie~?" A short guy asked aloud. He looked like Link from Majora's Mask, except his eyes were black with red pupils and bright red blood flowed from them.

"Someone who already doesn't like you," I responded flatly, earning a chuckle from everyone.

The short dude seemed to shut up.

"Children, this is Bonita Hamilton. She is one of my newest proxies. Although she hasn't gone through the official initiation stage yet, she will when she is ready. Her ability is unique enough to where it can help us defeat him. Zalgo."

Everyone had stopped chattering and looked at me. I almost wanted to sink into the floor with all the attention.

"Bonita, feel free to answer their questions at your own discretion," Slender spoke one last time before leaving.

As soon as he left, a few hands shot up.

You pointed to a girl with a white mask with black hair. She seemed to be dressed similar to you.

"Is it true you defeated Jeff?" She asked excitedly.

Jeff cringed in his seat, and I looked at him. He gave me a glare.

"Yes. Yes, I did. Using an ability I had since I was born." I spoke calmly while looking directly at him.

This earned more laughs from the people.

"Whats you're ability, though?" Everyone stopped when a man with a blue mask asked.

"Are... Are you sure you wanna see...?" I asked hesitantly, almost nervous.

"Yes. We all wanna see. We wanna see what made the 'almighty' Jeff lose to you." He spoke calmly.

"Uh... Okay... Uh..." I looked around and grabbed a piece of paper off the floor.

I began to concentrate on the piece of paper, imagining it on fire. And then a small fire flickered to life onto it, lapping at the paper. Slowly, you controlled the burn until it took the shape of a bird.

I concentrated as I made it fly around the room, and made two more appear. All three began to chase each other before they landed on the little girl I had noticed.

She giggled as she looked at them, reaching out to pet them.

"Careful, touching them makes them disappear."

Everyone had watched in awe at your own ability. I hadn't even hurt myself when the flames had lapped up my arm, flickering faintly.

"That... Doesn't hurt you?" They asked softly.

I shook my head no in response. I let the firebirds die out as I reached for my head, groaning at how bad the pounding got.

"Although afterwards, I can't touch water for a few hours," I grumbled.

"Neeeeeat!" They all exclaimed.
