Kido swam with his parents and looked for food. ''Come here Lilly'' Dante said with a calm tone. Kido's older sister swam over and watched her father hunt. Kido would help his mother protect the new eggs that were going to hatch. Only one of them was able to be found after the nightmare wings came. Kido would protect his soon to hatch sibling with his life! It was then that when his mother and him were watching the territory, a group of nightmare wings flew in and under the water.
The dad was the first to kill two at once. Then his mother attacked two also. There was one left and his sister who was 100 years older then him. He was only 100 and she was 203 years old. She took it on and had it claw her chest and killed her. Kido screamed as blood filled to water. He dashed down and put her in the cave with the egg. The last one killed his parents easily. After believing it killed them all, it left. Kido flung to the egg and his family that was now dead.
''No.....this....this can't be happening....'' Kido whimpered. ''I have to wake up! Its just a dream!" He cried. After pinching and blinking three times, he gave up. He had to leave or the egg would die from the cold. They may be water dragons but, they start out on land until they can handle the harsh and cold water.
Kido was taken by surprise so much that he forgot to breath! Kido rushed up for air. As he gasped he held the egg tigher and flew out of the water. He flew for awhile then walked. His heavy body was not as light on land as it was on water.
Kido found a safe place and built a nest. He played down and snuggled the egg after hiding the egg under his wide tail. ''Please survive, your all I have left'' Kido whispered. He layed his head down over his tail and slept.
''Who is this?" A male dragon roared. Kido opened one eye and then straightened up. It was a nature dragon. This one seemed more annoyed then friendly. ''You are destroying the ground by tearing grass for your 'beast' so move'' the dragon snarled. '' I don't have to and besides I am not harming anyone.''Kido growled. The nature got a peek at the egg and was now aware. ''Your a female..? There is not many left...'' he asked.
Kido rolled his eyes. He did sound like a girl a little since he was growing into his male voice and he had an egg so eh it looks like it but still. ''I am a male water dragon. I am just young'' Kido snapped. ''Then explain the egg'' he growled. ''My family was killed, by nightmare wings... I was holding onto the egg so the beasts would not find it and they did not see me.'' Kido said with a soft sorrow in his eyes. ''Oh so now you are caring for it?" The dragon asked. ''Yes I am e older brother and I vowed it the second she was given to the world.'' Kido said simply.
''Oh then sorry to brother you...'' the dragon said with a turn. ''Bye!" The dragon called as Kido replied the same. He yawned and stretched out his long limbs. It was time to get up. He stuck to egg in his pouch for all dragons, male or female, had a pouch to carry things.
He walked and walked for a long time and finally stopped to rest. ''Just needs to find shelter before the rain.

Water dragons spend 50% of theirday hunting and securing time with family and the other 50% sleeping. In kido'scase ,dragons without family will hun tand eat for 50% and the other 30% is sleeping and last 20% is fighting or patrolling. ~ Minco×Darky

Kido worked on finding food and shelter for the most part and when he found a good amount of food to hunt and shelter, he settled down to sleep. He curled up in the cave qnd slept with the egg under his tail and head.
