Kiro found himself wide awake. The early morning sounds of the city bustling outside the windows, but he didn't really care. Today, he didn't need to be a popstar. Today, he could be himself. He stretched slowly, enjoying the contractions of his muscles. A little sore from his activities a few hours prior. Enjoying the chance of a new day, new memories.

He thought back to his night before. Heat rushing to his cheeks when he recalled what he'd done. He looked at his partner in crime. Still asleep, so blissfully, he wished he could doze back off and enjoy the sweet nothingness with her. Last night, had been the most nervewracking beautiful, yet singlehandedly the most terrifying night of his life.

The problem of being a star, he seldom got to be only himself. Sure his 'extracurricular' hobby gave him some alone time, but it was only that. A lonely star. A term he'd come to love since watching Mrs. Chips' documentary. A term that made him feel a little less lonesome when the cameras were off and it was just him.

Yet here. Last night. Had been the first of many, not only him but for her as well. Sure he had thousands of adoring fans, and he'd snuck in a fanfiction or two, but it was all new. So panicked to not do something wrong, he'd found absolute comfort in knowing the girl now sleeping in his bed was just as inexperienced. In fact, it had made everything better. Their clumsy, confusing, and almost embarrassing first times. Yet, he was happy to have shared it with her.

Intimately, there could never be another 'first', but more so, he couldn't even fathom of anyone else than the one who seemed to always see him. No evol, no superpowers, just him.

He reached his hand out to slowly touch her hair. She was so beautiful sleeping. He wished he could keep this moment engraved into his memory forever. He ran the tips of his fingers along her cheek. So soft, he thought to himself.

She always called him a superhero, but for him, it was the other way around. She was his. He thought back to meeting her. The random day in the supermarket, when she gave him his final card. It was something so small, he wondered if it had even registered how much she'd made his day. Since then, his Ms. Chips' was all that crossed his mind.

He brought his body closer to hers. Trying to pull her in tightly without disrupting. His hand now cupping her cheek as he placed a small kiss on her forehead. She squirmed into his touch, a content sigh at her lips.

She was wearing one of his t-shirts. Choosing to wear it to bed, too embarrassed to sleep with nothing. Kiro of course understood, and the thought of now owning a shirt she'd worn made him a little giddy.

A lonely star.

The thought crept back into his mind. If he as the lonely star, she was the one person willing to look at him shine, uncaring for the rest of the perfect galaxy. How fortunate was he? To find someone like her. He couldn't even fathom what it had been like before her. He'd grown so accustomed to having her in his life. Be it backstage, or on set for a project. Grateful, that she always made the time. He valued that from her. Her time, her wanting to be there with nothing to gain. Better yet. She knew his secrets as well. Had seen both of his sides, and cared for him nonetheless.

He continued to lay in bed. Watching the slight curve of her lips as she smiled in oblivion. A new flush rushing on as he remembered how her lips had been on his neck last night. Or the kisses he'd taken just until they were both out of breath. He remembered the moans she'd made as he'd pushed her down on to the bed, and finally made her understand that he could, in fact, be her lover and not just a friend. For so long, she'd just seen him as sweet, almost unwilling to accept that he would give up everything to call her his.

He'd seen that dopey police officer at his concerts, trying to be the white knight. Always jealous of the time she spent with him. Kiro let those insecurities melt away. Sure, the officer had been her school friend, but it didn't matter though. She was here, with him. Sharing something so precious only to him.

Kiro found himself looking back at her face. He thought back to the Hackers summit. The little girl on the lab table. He shuddered at the thought. He remembered the promise he'd made to protect her. A promise he still intended to keep for as long as he was breathing. She'd been so precious to him. How fortunate to find her now.

A soft melody crept into his brain. Even sleeping, she was his muse. He continued to hold her, the intricacies of a new rhythm forming inside his head. Lyrics forming from his thoughts, almost threatening to spill. She may not always catch that they were for her. Yet, it was ok. He would make her see one day. He looked forward to when she'd known every love song, every word, were hers. This one would be his best song yet.

He stole another kiss. Then another. Oh, how he could just do this forever. Unfortunately for him, his mind was now too wound up to just enjoy the silence. He begrudgingly got out of bed. The cold of the room making him wish he could crawl back beneath the sheets next to his love. He couldn't though. Kiro was a man a mission.

He made his way quietly into the living room, shutting the door behind him to keep himself from waking her. He made it to his piano, sitting at the bench and lifting the cover over the ivories.

His fingers gently pressed the keys. The sweet tones filling the air as he tried to play softly enough to not wake her. It wasn't long when he'd written the opening. A soft yet passionate melody that he prayed could carry the feelings he had inside.

Chords and bridges forming a message he would scream from the rooftops for her. He'd continued to pour his all into the playing, stopping only when he'd seen bright brown eyes and a gentle face looking at him from the doorway.

"Good morning, Ms. Chips" he almost whispered. Too afraid that being too loud would scare her away. "Did I wake you?"

"Good morning, Mr. Chips" she replied, her smile growing bigger. "Kind of, but I don't mind. It's beautiful."

Not as much as you. He thought in his head.

"Come sit down. I'd love for you to hear it," he stated, patting the spot beside him.

She complied happily. Her bare legs barely covered by his t-shirt just a few inches away from his. This was too far. His hand found her thigh quickly. He could see how his touch made her skin turn the most gorgeous shade of red.

"Move closer," he almost begged.

She scooched in, now touching him. His hand still on her thigh.

"Would you like to hear this song?" Kiro asked.

"Yes, please!" she stated happily, her eyes shining as she flashed him a smile.

Of coursed he obliged. Letting the music come from him as his fingers adeptly played across the keys. At one point her head lay on his shoulder. Taking in the song quietly.

"It's beautiful," she complimented when the sweet song had finally reached its end. "I'm sure your fans will like it a lot!"

"They won't ever hear it. The real question is do you like it?"

She smiled and nodded her head. Locking eyes with him. "Is this a personal song? Do you not want others to get it?"

"Yes. It's personal. It only belongs to one person."

"Oh? Who is that?" she asked, densely. Kiro smirked. For someone so smart, she sometimes was so slow.

"It's yours, silly."

"Mine?"

"Yes. All yours, but today you get a special. Two for one."

"Two for one?" she asked curiously.

"Yes. If you get the song, you also get the player."

"I like that" she smiled. Leaning in to find his lips. A kiss Kiro very happily returned.

"No returns. No exchanges. All sales final." He joked. His hands coming up to her face. He pulled her in slowly sealing the deal with their lips. "Yours forever"

The lonely star wasn't lonely anymore.
