Jayson fell into a fitful sleep, and the memories of meeting the demon came flooding in.

The angel had always been shy, he wasn't really the tallest, and he wasn't too brave. But he did try to make friends, he was a rather like-able guy. That didn't mean he got any less nervous around new people.

Despite having new friends, he still found himself sitting alone at his lunch table, staring at the rivets and grooves.

"Hey," a voice came from behind him, forcing him to jump and turn to look over his shoulder. Standing there, was a beautiful blonde boy, a grin on his handsome face. "Mind if I sit with you?" he asked politely, but he had already started to sit down, it was like Jayson didn't really get a say. Not that he minded, he preferred not to sit alone, and he wasn't very picky. "I'm Grant," the boy stated simply, not even looking at the angel.

"Jayson," he spoke softly, and suddenly he worried that he wasn't loud enough. "My name is Jayson."

"Jayson... Jay... I'm gonna call you Jay," the blonde boy didn't seem to care what Jayson thought of him, he was so cool, like nothing could phase him.

"Okay," the angel didn't really know what to say to someone like Grant. "You- you're a demon," now that he had a moment to fully take him in and notice all the small details, he noticed the clear marking of a pentagram on the back of his neck, a demon indeed.

"Now you notice," Grant rolled his eyes with a smirk, he was clearly amused by this. "And you're an angel. Hanging out with me could mess up your little halo, maybe you want me to leave?" Jayson couldn't tell if he was being serious or not.

"N-no!" This was his first chance to connect with someone, he wasn't going to give it up because of some rumors he had heard. "I just- I thought demons were supposed to be mean... and scary."

"Oh trust me sweetheart," Jayson's heart caught in his throat, he really liked that. "I can be mean. I can be very scary. You just haven't pissed me off. Don't do it by the way, you'll regret it."

Of course he had to believe him, an angel like Jayson would never go out of his way to piss someone off to simply test a theory. "Oh... But you seem so nice."

"That's cause you seem cool," the blonde grinned, finally looking at him. For a moment they were stuck in a silent staring contest, each of them waiting for the other to look away. In the end, it was Jayson who broke, he never had been a 'dominant' person. "I think we'll get along just fine."

"Jay!" A voice boomed as Jayson walked along the side walk, carefully placing one foot in front of the other. This forced him to look around, his eyes falling on the blonde demon.

"Oh, hello," he smiled, stopping fully.

"What are you doing tonight?"

"Nothing, I have the night off, why?" It was odd to have someone ask things like this, normally his school friends liked to stay strictly that. But for whatever reason, Grant seemed different.

"D'ya maybe wanna come to my house?" He rubbed the back of his neck while he spoke, smiling softly.

"Uh... Sure! Let me text my parents!" How was he going to explain to his family that he planned to hang out with a demon? Well it was simple, he wouldn't. Nervously, he tapped out a semi-believable excuse as to why he wouldn't be returning home. Surprisingly, it worked, he got the okay from his parents and he was free to enjoy his night. "Alrighty, lead the way?"

"Alright."

Jayson's restless mind wandered to his favorite day dream, one he couldn't quite tell if it was real or not.

They sat alone in Grant's room, talking softly so they didn't wake his slumbering parents.

"Have you had your first kiss?" Grant asked, lying on his back and watching his ceiling fan spin.

"No," Jayson shook his head. He too was lying on his back, but he had turned his head so that he could see Grant, allowing his eyes to trace over his every feature. "Have you ever wanted to a kiss a boy?"

"Yeah. Who hasn't?" the demon snorted, propping himself up on one arm so that he could stare down at the other boy. "Have you?"

"Yes..."

"Who?"

"I can't tell you," he shook his head again, closing his eyes so that he didn't have to meet icy blue.

"Why not?" Grant pushed, poking Jayson in the side.

"Because..."

"That's not an answer."

"Because it's you," he mumbled the last word, hoping desperately that Grant wouldn't hear him, that he would drop the subject.

"Me?"

"Yes you."

"I'm honored. Sit up," he suddenly commanded, straightening himself up. Jayson didn't quite understand what was going on, but he did as he was told, he really was like that.

"Why?"

"So I can do this," Grant cupped his jaw and brought his face close, but not quite pressing their lips together. "May I kiss you?"

"Y-yes," a blush dusted Jayson's cheeks, his dark eyes wider than ever. Slowly, the demon brushed his lips against the brunette's, giving him the slightest taste. But right when he thought he would pull away, he pressed more into the kiss, pulling his lower lip into his mouth, tasting his skin.

Jayson didn't know much about kissing, but something in him told him to push back, to further the kiss. So he did. He pressed until he was on top of Grant, a leg on either side of him. Surprisingly, Grant didn't pull away, instead ghosting his hands down his sides to bring him even closer.

They continued like this for what felt like hours, just getting to know the feel of each other's mouths. Then they pulled apart, a string of saliva connecting their mouths as they each panted from the lack of air.

"So... Was that what you wanted?" Grant asked, staring into Jayson's eyes.

"Yes. Did you?"

"Did I what?"

"Want it?"

"Well no shit," the demon snorted, pushing the angel off of him. "I'm the one who kissed you. But if you tell anyone about this, I will kill you," he threatened.

"Of course."

"Jayson!" The angel was ripped out of his sleep by the sound of his mother calling him. It sucked having to wake up, to realized he would only be with Grant in his dreams. "Dinner's ready!"

"I'm coming," Jayson sighed, standing and wiping the drool from the side of his mouth. Now he had to go out and face his family, how great.

It would be a long day.
