Ashlee's POV.
"Today we have a very special guest, the punk-pop rock group popularly know as Sugar Skulls!" The presenter introduced, the crowd applauding and screaming.
I smiled slightly as I saw Kara wince and cover ears.
"You guys are crazy." Kara chuckled into her mic as she moved her hands away. The crowd started up again, this time louder.
I brought my mic up to my mouth, my laugh echoing off the speakers above me.
"Sup' New York?" I asked, looking at the crowd that had formed.
We were outside the news station, where they had set up a huge stage for us. Social media had spread the news about us being in New York for a day and about 15 thousand people showed up to watch us live. The crowd screamed and waved around huge banners and signs as a response.
"The lead singers always get the most applause. It's so sad." Kelly whispered into the microphone while faking a pout, her lip piercing sticking out. I laughed sarcastically at her attempt to shoot me down.
The presenter cleared her throat, getting the crowds attention as well as ours.
"So girls, how's it feel to be in New York?" She asked us, her fake smile twitching in exhaustion.
"It's boring." Valerie dead panned from the drum set behind me. Kara laughed at her serious expression and the crowd gasped, a mixture of negative comments and fangirling.
"I'm kidding. It's amazing to be back in NY. Haven't been here since I was 10" she said, clearing up her own joke.
"So I'm assuming that you've all been to NY before?" The presenter asked, looking at Valerie and eyeing her piercings and tattoos in what seemed like fear.
"Yep." We all said in unison.
"Aw, fuck you guys. Always leaving me out and shit." Kelly joked, keeping a straight face. Kara laughed.
"I haven't been here yet." She said, pointing to herself. She opened her mouth again to speak again but closed it again after a moment Valerie spoke up.
"You're so awkward, jeez."
We all laughed as the crowd cheered.
"Well, I think the crowd is just dying to hear your new song, girls. Take it away." The presenter said, walking off the stage and as soon as she was out of the cameras frame, her smile dropped off her face and she looked bored. I rolled my eyes.
Kara fiddled with her new bass, it had a black outline, the rest of the instrument was white. Kelly slung her electric's strap over her chest and tuned it a bit, playing a quick tune to warm up. The crowd enjoyed the sound and screamed.
Valerie scoffed from her set. "Show off."
Kelly grinned, clearly enjoying this. "Like you can do any better Val." She challenged.
Valerie raised her eyebrows and started playing a random but cool beat.
The crowd cheered even louder. Kelly and Valerie stared at each other before laughing.
"Such children." Kara said, into her mic, putting it on her stand.
"This song goes out to all the heartbroken hearted," I introduced, the crowd immediately going silent. I fixed the guitar strap on my shoulder.
"It's called "Flashbacks"."
Ashton's POV
My alarm went off and I whacked it onto the ground, rolling over and groaning as I heard Michael and Calum shouting at each other, which I ignored.
