It has been a week since Carter ever said a word to me. A week since I even SAW the kid. I can't tell if he has been avoiding me or if he's been so busy I can't ever talk to him.
Well.. to be honest there was one morning where I actually woke up to him getting dressed to go I don't know where, the conversation was very short-"Where are you going?" Carter froze up quick at the sight of me waking up. Almost like, he didn't want to be caught.
"Out. Be- uh safe. See you." And before I could even respond, he sped out the door.
I don't know why he would even be ignoring me... but I might have some faint idea.
He obviously hates me.
It couldn't be more obvious. Did I do something?
If I did, I don't remember. I know I got drunk, but that's the most I remember. I did come home. Carter though, was no where to be seen that next morning.Ever since that day- we barely spoke.
The one person that I talked to almost too much is my boyfriend, Matthew. It was like everyday that he wanted to hang out. During practice, after classes, sometimes he even wanted to skip together. I only skipped once and it was honestly very.. boring.
He's like, too nice. Is that possible? He bought me several gifts the past few days. I tell him I have money but he always just says, 'I'm your boyfriend! Just let me buy you some gifts.'
It's real close to pissing me off. My room is full of the items he bought me.Today was a new day though, and Carter was already gone (of course.) I did wake up to a message though.
From Matthew.Matt ?♥️? - Hey Liam! Want to meet me at our usual spot after your first class? I have a special gift for you. :) Also, I'm almost at your door. Let me in lol
I groan into my hands as right on cue he starts banging on my door. "Liam?" He speaks, in a weird singing voice, "Open up." I practically smother my head in my pillow. I won't be able to handle him much longer. He talks.. way too much. I could deal with him when we were 'friends' but now? I can't take it. "Liam? Are you still sleeping? Don't want to be late." More banging.
I groan and throw myself off the bed.
"Jeez, i'm coming!" I make sure to whisper the Jeez, don't want him to know that he annoys the hell outta me.
I open the door just to have a bag thrown in my face.
"Good morning." I click my tongue as I take in a breath, grabbing the bag.
"What is this..?"
"Breakfast. Just a small muffin. Hope that's okay." I peak in the bag, and as he said there was a single muffin.
"Wow. Uh- thanks."
"I have something better for you later. Just don't want you to starve."
He waits by the door, talking nonstop of course, as I slipped on my clothes and shoes.
"But like- I really think I might come out to my parents. Maybe I could introduce you. They'll love you."
"Um.. I don't know about that." I mumbled walking past, muffin in hand.
"Why?" He shut the door behind us before running up behind me. "I think we get along pretty well. I want them to meet you." I can't help but slowly gain speed as I walked next to him. He must've noticed because he had a huge look of worry. Surprisingly, he said nothing and just moved on to talking about sports again.
And again.And... even more talking.
At that point all I could hear was nonsense. And the sound of my pounding head and my agonizing thoughts.
