Chris POV
There's this weird pull when I first saw Gemma, its not like I haven't been through it. Of course I had. It's called a crush. I had this feeling when I was fourteen. My big mate, John, told me that and had explained to me the symptons. This is call like at first sight. We both don't believe in love at first sight. Love is a commitment, which I doubt we're able to commit on first sight, well not for us. You might be wondering where the hell John is.
Let me tell you. He has passed on.
I guess that was I was so unhesitant into helping people with plagues.
I am currently am wandering around aimlessly. I don't know how many days have past as the lighting is always the same, the same brightness. I have no one to ask--wait--actually, I have people to ask but either they don't know the answers or they just don't want to say it.Surprisingly there are bells and aha! There goes the bell. DING DONG!! Time for the next lesson. I looked at my schedule and headed off to class, as that's the only thing for me to do. Right now.
*After School. Or not.*
Gemma's POV
Seems like there's no trace of my parents.
Seems like they had just vanished into thin air. I groaned in frustration. The school held a talk just now.
Seems like we're consecutively having lessons, only having a thirty-minute-break.Apparently, we don't need to sleep. Which is totally fine by me since I don't feel tired whatsoever. That's weird. We don't need to sleep, don't need to drink water, don't need to eat. Wow, am I becoming an... alien? That I, am also not very sure about the symptons of becoming an alien.
"What's up?" A masculine voice sounded. I turned instinctively towards the sound, only to face... Chris?
"The sky," I answered sarcastically, I looked up, "Not."
Chris shifts beside uncomfortably. I know that feeling. After a long awkward silence, I finally snapped, "What do you want?"
His face dropped. "Sorry, I didn't meant to snap. I'm just...frustrated, I guess. I mean, I can't find my parents, I'm whisked away to this weird world where I don't feel tired, thirsty and hungry. I miss my parents, I even miss my old tattered, rundown house. All I can conclude is that I miss my old life," I blurted out.
Chris's eyes soften a little, he said softly,"Hey, hey, it's okay. Someday we'll get out of here. I believe we will." I arched an eyebrow at him, mentally. Why is he saying 'we' instead of 'I'? Dude, we ain't a couple! We barely knew each other for three minutes!!! Actually, it's been more than three minutes.
I bet he's thinking,"It's clearly someone's time of the month."I decided not to glare at him for his cheesy-ness but irritation got the better of me. "You know, you shouldn't be worried about me. Worry about yourself!"
Oh gosh, why am I so snappy today? Right, it's warm.Wait,no--It's hot. Of course. I then realized Chris has been eerily silent. Had I offended him? Well, who cares? Not me.
"Hey? You know what? I'm sorry. Wait no, I'm not sorry." Chris turns to look at me weirdly. His eyes contained a hint of hurt but he hid it pretty well. A tad bit of guilt came over me but I pushed it away.
Chris started to turn away but before he left he said,"I'll see you soon."Did I ruin it? Do I care about it?
Of course not.
