This took place around 1982 where me, and my friends were in nearing the end of secondary school.
My three other friends, Ashley, Karlie, Nash, and including myself were all trouble makers throughout primary school. And as a graduation "party" we decided to go, and play the 'Light Game' inside the abandoned house near school. No one was suppoded to go inside but as stupid teenagers we decided to go inside anyways, of course people have trashed the place with graffiti, and trash. But since it was abandoned recently, most things were in a okay shape, so when the day ended we grabbed our bags, and went to the house.

"You got the light bulb?" Asked Karlie,
"Yea, of course." Answered Ashley.
'The light game' was played in a bathroom, where you must stare at a strong light source for three minutes straight, and try not to blink as much as possible. After the three minutes were done you were to quickly dim the light and blink rapidly into the mirror until you would see a shadowy figure. It was scary to think about, but I was sure there wouldn't be a figure suddenly standing in the view of the mirror.
We went to the bathroom located upstairs, the stairs creaked whilst we were walking but when we reached the dusty bathroom it sent me chills to the spine.
"Guys, I'm not sure if I wanna do this.." I said.
"It'll be fine what's the worst that can happen?" Nash replied, not really making things better.
"Oh I don't know maybe one of us getting hurt?" I sassed.
"Don't worry drama queen, no one's getting hurt on my watch!" Karlie spoke with a deep voice.
That seemed to lighten the mood a little.
As we walked into the bathroom, there was a small mirror in front of the sink, and a lightbulb holder on top of the mirror, I hoped the electricity won't work, then apposing the sink was a large bathtub that had cockroaches, and all sorts of insects crawling out of it.

We set up the lightbulb, unfortunatly Ashley got the wires to work, Nash cleaned the mirror with a cloth she brought, and Karlie was on look out to make sure no one went inside the building. After setting everything we played a little game of rock paper sicssors,
"Awh man, I was wishing I could go first." Spoke Nash clearly dissapointed.
"Me too, but I guess Lillian can go, right Lillian?" Asked Ashley.
"Uhh, yea sure!" I spoke.
They then went outside the bathroom leaving me there all alone with the light, I looked into the Lightbulb on top of the mirror, and tried my best not to blink my eyes started watering, and it felt like I was just standing there for hours.
"It's been three minutes Lil!" Ashley yelled outside the bathroom.
I quickly dimmed the light, and began to rapidly blink at the mirror a hallucination shape of the lightbulb danced around my view. 'Maybe this isn't real' I had thought, until.

A humanoid figure stood hunch back in the bathtub feasting on something, I wanted to scream but at that moment I stood paralyzied at the sight, I didn't know what to do, so all I could do was move my head backwards to the bathtub, and see my fate, but just as I turned around the hunch back figure had disappeared.
"Lil, how you doing in there?" Ashley asked.
I barely uttered out any words as I was still shellshocked, but ai managed to get out a 'ok'.
"I-i'm o-okay." I replied.
Then as if it were a miracle Karlie came running up the stairs.
"Guys! Let's hurry out some police men are outside the building!" Karlie said out of breath.
We all packed everything we brought including the light bulb Nash quickly unscrewed out of the holder.
"Okay guys, let's scram!" Karlie yelled.

We quickly ran out the back door in the first floor, and returned to our homes, but as soon I returned home mum was really worried, and said she had called the police to check around the area, because I was gone for too long.
"Mum, I told you i'm fine, see? Nothing broken, i'm in good shape!" I told my mum.
"Still Lillian! We were really worried, atleast tell us where your heading, before going out with your friends." Mum scolded.
"Okay, okay, I will next time, but i'm really tired right now so i'm just gonna go sleep." I replied.
"No dinner?" Mum asked,
"No dinner." I replied.
I quickly went upstairs to my room, and threw my backpack onto the floor, and fell into my soft matress, my legs seemed to give up at that moment, and I instantly fell asleep...
...
I soon awoke to breathing on my neck, or I thought I was awake. I couldn't move a limb, and seemed as if I had ten pounds sitting on my back, I also could see behind my head which was weird. But I soon made the mistake of looking to my side.
Right next to the bed towered a hunch back figure with a wide smile of disortiented yellowish, grey teeth, and sunken eyes the size of ping pong balls, and darker than the night sky with white little dots for pupils. I wanted to scream, but no words came out of my mouth, it's long, bony, and slender fingers made it's way to my neck, and it's face came closer to my head. Then it's mouth opened, and said in a crackled voice.
"I will be watching you..."

Before I finally woke up, after that experience I developed a extreme fear of mirrors, and dark spaces. I even removed the mirror on my closet in my bedroom facing my bed.
And in the corner of my eyes, I see those sunken beady black eyes watching me from the shadows, and whispering under it's breath 'fifty eight more days left Lillian.' I wonder what will happen when the number of days reach a zero...

I know that it wasn't really good but this is my second ever story i'm writing, and hope to get better as the years go bye, thank you for reading! 💖
