Chapter 5 ~ "Hi Sungie.."

"Alright, I'll be on my way shortly."

~~~Jiwoo's POV~~~

I sit in silence between Joshua and Hansol in the van, trying not to scream out in happiness. "Sorry I couldn't spend longer with you guys today! I would really like to but.." I trail off slightly and play with the hem or Joshua's hoodie he let me borrow until we see each other next time. "Hey, it's okay! We know how important it is to you that you make it to the concert, we can just hang out again and celebrate more with you next time." Wonwoo says, smiling gently at me. I smile back at him before investing in a conversation with Seungkwan and Soonyoung.

Of course, our conversations always ended up weird.

"Fish sleep, Jiwoo!" Seungkwan whines and waves his arms around, almost hitting Seokmin in the face. "Oh for the love of all that is holy, no they don't!" I stomp my foot childishly and pout, crossing my arms. "They never even blink, Seungkwan! How could they sleep if they don't blink?" I kick him lightly in the shin, a squeak reverberating off his vocal chords. "Okay, she has a point there." Soonyoung says and gives up, deciding to play on his phone instead. Seungkwan whines in disagreement but receives a punch in the arm from Jihoon to not start again. We all laugh at his defeated expression, him opting to pester Minghao and Junhui instead.

I rest my head on Joshua's shoulder, humming Thanks as I wait for us to get to the venue. He smiles and joins me, soon enough the entirety of the van humming together. We all giggle after the song finishes, bright smiles on all our faces. Thanks has been one of my favorites of theirs since I heard Jeonghan playing it while making dinner earlier this week. My eyes light up and I raise my head from Joshua's shoulder as the venue comes into sight, a security guard looking around like he's expecting someone. The boys smile at me as I start bouncing in my seat slightly, extremely excited. Seungcheol pulls the van to a stop as I quickly unbuckle my seatbelt. The boys and I get out of the van and I hug them all one by one.

"Well, guess this is goodbye for now." I say and smile sadly at them, desperately wanting to see them longer. "Hey, don't worry! We can hang out next week." Jihoon smiles and ruffles my hair, making a whine leave my throat as I frantically fix it. "Dick." I kick his shin and squeal when he tries grabbing me. "Hoonie! I gotta go!" I whine and he just pouts. I smile and wave to them as I talk up to the security guard. "Who are you?" He asks, his gruff voice startling me. "Han J-Jiwoo." I say and play with my fingers, feeling small under his harsh gaze. "Prove it." My mouth hangs open before I close it and open my phone with my fingerprint, the first thing on my screen being my texts to Chan.

I hand him my phone and his eyes widen as he scrolls through the messages. "I'm so sorry, this way!" He hands me my phone and guides me inside, dropping me off in what I can only assume is their dressing room. I look up at the TV screen hanging on the wall, watching them perform. A bright smile places itself on my lips as I watch Sungie dance and rap his heart out. I'm so proud of him.

~~~Jisung's POV~~~

We breathe heavily as we finish performing Young Wings. My dark blue hair covers my eyes and I make no move to move it as we all stand up, bowing to our fans. We go off stage for a second to change into more casual shirts before running back on stage to talk to STAYs. "Hello STAYs!!" Chan yells and they all yell back, tugging a small smile to my lips. My parents are here for this concert, which had me on edge the whole time. I was so scared of messing up in front of them and our fans. Thankfully I didn't though, that would've made today even worse. "Well, we all know what today is, don't we?" Hyunjin yells into his microphone, turning it out towards the fans as they all scream "Yes!"

"Well, why don't we sing happy birthday to Jisung, and pay our respects to Jiwoo?" I lower my head as Seungmin says her name, the fans loud screaming consisting of a lot of yells of yes and every synonym for it. You make it sound like she’s dead. I can see Chan look off the stage to the side, a smile on his face. I don't question it, messing with the hem of my shirt. "One, two, three!" Minho counts everyone in and the next thing I know, they're all singing happy birthday. "Happy birthday to you!" I lower my head more, tears pricking my eyes. "Happy birthday to you!" The boys faces are bright and smiley, not surprising me at all. "Happy birthday dear Jisung!" I hear a soft female voice behind me, making me turn my head to see who it was. My heart stops in my chest and my tears start streaming down my cheeks. "Happy birthday to you!" Everyone ends the song and the girl continues to walk up to me until she's right in front of me, grabbing my face in her hands. "Hi Sungie.." Her voice is just as soft as I remember it, tears leaving her eyes too as she wipes mine with her thumbs. "J-Jiwoo!!" I yell and pull her into me, crying harder than I ever had.

All our fans scream louder than they did before, hearing some of them starting to cry with us. "I missed you so so so much." I pull her closer to me, if even possible. "I missed you too Sungie, you have no idea." Her grip on the back of my shirt tightens as she buries her face into my chest. The boys all huddle around us, trapping us in the center of a group hug. Heh, sounds familiar. Everyone has tears streaking down our faces at this point, the love filled aura around us making my heart feel light and fluttery. "I'll explain everything to you later, I promise." Jiwoo mumbles into my chest, looking up at me after the boys let us go. She brings her hands back up and brushes my hair out of my eyes, both of us smiling brightly. The room echos with the loud 'awe's from the STAYs, making me and Jiwoo giggle. "I love you so much JiJi.." I mumble and cuddle her close to me, nuzzling my face into her hair.

"I love you too Sungie.."
