Third person POV

"Go back to where you came from! No one here wants such a stupid, fat, ugly, American, git!"

You fell to the floor, and your books scattered across the corridor. A group of girls and boys from your year were laughing as you scrambled up to gather them. You didn't even know the name of the girl who had shoved and insulted you, just that she was in your year. Tears were welling in your eyes, threatening to spill. Why did they hate you? You wish you knew. 'They're probably right.' You thought. 'That's why everyone hates me.' You tried to hurry picking up your books, you were already late to meet your boyfriend, Draco, and you were on the other side of the castle from where you were supposed to see him. The group of snickering students surrounding you seemed to have other ideas though.

"What's the matter, Y/L/N? Going somewhere?"

One of the boys taunted. "As long as it's not back to where you bloody well came from I think you can stay and amuse us a little longer!" He sneered.

"I..I have t..to go. I c..can't..." You were cut off.

"Going to see Drakey are we? Can't believe he didn't dump scum like you ages ago."

You knew that voice. You looked up to see Pansy Parkinson looming above you, arms crossed, scrunched up nose, wand in hand, her menacing look completed with barred teeth. The group surrounding you had their wands pointed. You seemed to know you wouldn't escape without a few cuts and bruises.

Draco's POV

'Where is she? Even if Professor McGonagall talked to her after class it shouldn't have taken this long for her to get here.' I thought and sighed.

I decided to wait a few more minutes before trying to look for her, knowing she probably bumped into some of her friends along the way.

I started reading the next section in my Defense Against the Dark Arts book, but five minutes passed and she still wasn't here, so I got up and started to put my book away when I heard someone coming my way, running. I turned around just as a figure rounded the corner into the corridor on the other side of the hallway. One look and I knew.

"Y/N?! Y/N!" I ran towards her and engulfed her in my arms. She looked up at me and when she did my breath caught. She had a black eye, a split lip, and blood gushing from her nose, her face was red and blotchy from the tears that were still spilling from her eyes. Quickly her look of pain turned to one of fright, she moved backwards with jerky movements. 'Why does she look so scarred? It's just me. I would never hurt her.' I moved towards her and she stumbled back falling. Moments after she landed she burst into sobs.

Y/N's POV

I ran. I ran as fast as I could away from those demented people. I was trying to escape the agonizing feelings inside me, but they only seemed to get stronger as their disgusting words cluttered my head.

'Loser, Freak, Fat, Stupid, Worthless, Not Good Enough.'

The words rang in my ears.

I turned the corridor and continued racing down the hallway in front of me. I started looking up to see where I was, I honestly didn't know where I was, or where to go. As I looked at the walls I realized I must've subconsciously started heading towards the place I was supposed to meet Draco at. I kept racing and turned to look ahead, there he was.

"Y/N?! Y/N!"

He started running towards me and in seconds I was wrapped in his arms. I looked up at him, his face was struck with worry and concern. He gasped as he looked at my face. That's when I remembered, it probably looked awful, even more awful than it usually did.

'Great, Y/N, you're already a disgusting freak, now he'll have to notice how ugly you are.' I backed away terror spread throughout my body. 'I can't let him see me like this.' I tripped and fell. That was the last straw. I burst out sobbing. My books strewn across the hallway, I buried my face into my robes, curling into an upright fetal position, I let my tears rock me with shudders. He came and held me, and I buried my face into his robes.

"Y/N, Y/N, it's alright I'm here. I won't let anyone hurt you. Shhh... It's going to be okay beautiful..." My head shot up, and he must've seen the fear in my eyes, because a look of worry spread across his face.

"Don't lie," I heard myself saying. "Don't lie! How can you call me that? Beautiful! Why can't you see? I'm not worth it!"

My head was pounding as I seemed to scream out the words. I paused and looked up at him, now he knew, he knew what I thought of myself in relation to him. He knew I thought I wasn't good enough. I scampered up and turned to go, when I felt his arms tangle around my midsection. He turned me around, but I looked sideways at the floor. He tilted my chin, and looked me in the eyes, with his soft blue-gray ones.

"Y/N, whoever told you that and did this to you couldn't be farther from the truth if they tried. You are the most beautiful girl in the world. More importantly you're kind, smart, caring... A world void of your beautiful presence...now that's something that's not worth it, not worth even thinking about." He pulled you to him, closing the space between you both, and whispered in your ear,

"I love you, Y/N. You're worth everything to me, never forget that."
