Shivaay's POV

Annika is sitting on the couch with her hands between her thighs and eyes on her buried hands. There's no one in this private area, just the four of us still she is feeling so embarrassed.

"You're Annika right?" Shyla speaks and Annika looks at her before nodding and then again looks down.

"Shivaay was telling you have spent quite a lot of time in Denmark, Europe. I've been there and I can tell, their fashion sense is really good. What's wrong with yours?" Shyla says and Annika glares at me before standing up. Shyla too stands up and holds her elbow.

"Hey! Cool down, party has just started. It's gonna be a long night." Shyla speaks in a tone more of a mocking type and Annika sits down again.

The next 45 minutes, Shyla and the rest keeps on insulting Annika on either her dress or her accent or her inability of speaking fluent Hindi. I didn't say a word, instead, I listen to everything quietly. She glares me asking me to stop them but Shyla doesn't let me say anything.

Finally, Annika stands up to leave but Shyla stops her. "Dare you." Annika speaks in the most dangerous voice and walks outside.

"Annika... Annika..." I follow her outside giving a glare to Shyla who shrugs.

"I didn't expect this from you Shivaay. I played pranks on you and none of them led to your insult. And what you did? You made me wear traditional to a club and you just let your friends  insult me, like that. How cheap Shivaay."

We are now outside the club and on the street. She's really mad at me. She wipes under her eyes and starts walking away from me. Shit! She is crying. What have I done?

"Annika wait." I run and grab her wrist but she jerks my hand.

"Don't touch me." She's crying. I never meant to hurt her.

"Annika, I swear I didn't have any idea about what happened inside." I tell her the truth. Shyla seriously didn't tell me that she had these plans or else all this wouldn't have happened.

"What didn't you know? That I'll be insulted? That too in front of the people I don't even know." She mocks me and starts walking.

"Annika listen." I shout and she turns around.

"You listen! Stay away from me..." She shouts and stops an auto. She sits inside and I follow it.

Annika runs inside Oberoi Mansion and I try to stop her because it's just 10 and everyone will be present in the hall discussing about the wedding. I don't want anyone to know what happened. I want it to remain between us only and sort it out.

"Dad... Dad..." She shouts before I can stop and now everyone's attention is on us.

"What happened Annika?" Her father asks and she drags him inside a room without saying a word.

"What happened Shivaay?" Mom asks and now, I will be the one at fault.

"Nothing happened mom, it's just we had a small fight. Everything will be alright." I say and to go my room without listening to anyone but I know two people who'll be following me.

"If you both are here to ask me anything about what happened to her, then don't. I am not at fault." I say and bury my head in my palms.

They both don't say a word and walk away. I am glad cause I don't want to talk to anyone right now. I don't know what Annika will be talking to her father about, maybe this marriage will be broken and worse, the friendship of Oberois and Trivedis will be destroyed.

Annika's POV

"Dad, why is this marriage so important?" I ask him a simple question. I don't tell him about what happen at the club or how many differences Shivaay and I have.

"First tell me why are you crying? Did something happen between you and Shivaay?" He asks and I hold my head.

"That's not the point dad. I asked you a simple question. Answer me." I say and rubs my back.

"This marriage is important because it will join both the families and the project we are working on, will have a name with the wedding. And this project is very important." He tells me and I swallow hard. There's no way out of this marriage.

"If I'll ask you something before marriage, will you give me?" I ask and he nods.

"I want to spend these 20 days back in Delhi, back in my hometown, back in that house. Please dad." I request and he closes his eyes to think.

"15 days?" He tells and I hug him tightly. 15 days of peace, 15 days of not seeing Shivaay and 15 days of freedom.

He grabs my hand and leads me outside to do the announcement. Everyone is called in the hall, including Shivaay. I can't be happier that I'll be going back and will be living my life in peace.

He makes and announcement that we all are going back to Delhi and we'll be back after two weeks. My dad's the best. I give an angry glare to Shivaay and walk to my room to pack the things.

Shivaay's POV

I thought this marriage would be over and she'll be her ways and me, my ways but I guess we are destined together.

But before she leaves, I need to apologize to her. I can't let her go like this. I rub my hands before knocking at her door. She opens and her smile fades away seeing my face. Of course. She leaves the door open and walks inside. She's packing.

"I came here to apologize Annika." I say and he hums.

"I am sorry Annika." I say and she looks at me with her arms tied across her chest.

"Say something."

"I heard your apology, you may leave now." She's behaving so cold.

"Annika...."

"Leave Shivaay." She raises her voice and I walk out.
