Bakura coughed up blood, spraying it on Amani below and with a shudder, he fell to the ground with a thud. Behind him stood Atem, a bloody dagger in hand. The two of them merely looked at each other, taking rapid breaths in the silent evening as the last bit of light vanished and Nuit took Ra's place.

"Thank you My Pharaoh, I'm sorry to had to rely on you to save me, if-"

"You're the one who saved me, so quit such nonsense. Come, you need treatment immediately." Atem whistled and a few moments later Hisan and Piye appeared from an alleyway a few houses away. Atem went to grab their horses as Amani tried to get up, letting out a cry as she shifted to stand.

"Stop, you'll only bleed out more than you already have, come here." She settled back on the floor heaving breaths through the steady pain and throbbing. Atem walked over and picked her up with Amani grinding her teeth at the movements. He leaned her up against Hisan before pulling her up in front of him with a few strangled grunts of pain from Amani.

"My Pharaoh, your clothes and your horse, I'll dirty them." Amani panted and looked up at the Pharaoh and was starkly aware at their sudden closeness.

"Don't worry over such mineal things, what can't be washed can be replaced." They didn't speak another word on the way to the palace but Amani took notice of him. He was taller than what she expected and had large and powerful hands. She could tell in the way Atem would steer Hisan that he was wary of her leg. And though there was still intense pain and throbbing, it had subsided a bit. The smell of blood mixed with the eucalyptus oils that Atem wore floated in the air and oddly calmed her through the josling trip.

The poor guards and stable boy who went to get their horses seemed to have seen a ghost and not a second later half of his court appeared.

"I saw a vision through the millennium necklace that you had encountered trouble but I only saw Amanishaketo..." Isis looked at Amani's injured leg and she suddenly felt a need to hide it.

"Are you ok? I sent out guards a few minutes ago as soon as Isis got her vision; thank the gods you're alright." Said Mahad heaving a sigh.

"While this is indeed a blessing, we must get them to the physician immediately." Shimon said, he went with a look of relief. Mahad helped Amani down with Atem telling him urgently and rushed to be careful of her. Set stood quietly in the corner of the stables observing all that was taking place and though he wouldn't admit it, he too was relieved.

"I'll take her." All heads turned to Atem; Amani shocked along with everyone else. Not only was he injured as well, but he was the Pharaoh; carrying a foreign woman that he had met only a day before.

"My Pharaoh I can walk myself, I don't need to be carried, put me down Mahad." He did as he was told and lowered Amani with just that action causing her pain. She tried a feeble limp forward; pain shooting up her leg as she tried to support her weight on it. She sucked in a sharp breath and ground her teeth but tried walking again only to trip forward. A pair of arms caught her and she feared opening her eyes. Oh how weak she must look! Embarrassment flushed her face as the strong arms righted her.

"There is no need to act strong, I have seen your full strength on display this evening. Now quit what you are doing, see you have worsened the bleeding." He was right, She could feel the warm liquid flowing down her leg as the Pharaoh Gathered her in his arms.
