Green

Chapter 6

       I fluttered my eyes open and looked around the room. "Why isn't anything burnt...?" I thought to myself. Rose came running over to me. "Oh yeah... I was sleeping."  Rose jumped and looked really happy, "Guess what!" she said happily. "What?" I asked her whiI founle I sat down on the couch. "I found mom!" she said smiling. "WHAT?"  I said suprised. "Yeah, yeah! Come see." I peeked my head into my mom's room and there she was, brushing her long hair in the mirror. I smiled widley and walked into my mom's room. "Mom!" I said happily, but as soon I I went to reach for her, the floor had dissapeared and I fell into blackness. I flew up from the couch with wide eyes. The smiled I had when I was dreaming was surely gone. I yawned and looked out of the window; It was raining. I squinted my eyes and noticed that Coco was trying to get back inside. I ran outside and grabbed Coco as fast as I could and ran inside. I was only out there for at least 40 seconds and I was soaked. I was going to shut the door, but then I noticed that Nic was laying in the grass staring at te sky. "Hey! Dude!" I called out to him. "What?" he asked. "What the hell are you doing?" I asked him. "I'm laying down in the grass."  Nic rolled over and put his face in the grass. I facepalmed.  I set Coco down in my room and stomped outside. "Come inside!" I said with my arms crossed. "I'm good out here." Nic said with his face in the wet grass. I took his feet and dragged him into the house, yes, I know that wasn't very nice or whatever, but I don't want anyone to hurt him. I shut the door and locked it. I walked into my room and sat on my bed. Nic walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower to see if it worked; it did a little bit, but not as well as it used to. NIc undressed and stepped in the shower. I walked into the bastment, and saw that there was a dog there. I heard someone whisper, You're crazy. I got a bit scared because I thought that there was an intruder in my house, so I ran upstairs, locked the door and sat on the couch with Coco. I pet her soft fur and listened to the rain hit the roof. It sounded beautiful. I tapped the power button on my computer, but it didnt turn on. I started to wonder if everyone in my family was okay, but then I slowly forgot about that. I grabbed a pen at started to draw people from a comic I read on my arm. I went into my room and looked for a book called The Mermaid's Cry, I couldn't find it anywhere. That was my sister's favorite book. "It was just  a book." I said to myself, "I'm sure that it will show up soon." I stood still and looked out of my window and noticed that lightning started to appear. I knocked on the bathroom door, "Nic there is ligtning." I leaned on the door. "Oh, sorry."  I sat in the kitchen and waited for him to get out of the shower. I fed Coco some tuna that was from a cat and she got to drink the juice from it. Nic sat down at the table and we ate apples. It was baout 3 am by now. Nic look at the watch that he did not have, "Oh I need to go somewhere, I will be right back." he said while walking out of the door. "Okaay.."  I said in a sarcastic tone.
