My name’s Penni Colette an average 17 year old. I dropped out of school to take care of my little sister Delilah who’s 14. Our parents split up when I was 7 and Delilah was 3. Our mum took custody of us whilst our dad forgot about us, we have never seen him since. About 4 months ago my mum died in a bank robbery. It was a very cold morning and me and Delilah went to school like it was any average day. But it wasn’t that day after school we caught the bus home and knocked on the door. We thought she might have been stuck at work. So we got inside with the spare key which was inside one of the pillow’s on the outside porch. Later that night we knew something was wrong. Before I could do anything I got “the phone call.” No one want’s to get the phone call, especially when your very young. I took action and became a legal guardian for my sister, with the occasional visits form Aunt Lilly. 4 months on here I am, staring at a brunette boy standing at my front door.
