I grabbed the crumpled schedule in my pocket and looked at the schedule again to find my first class. After a few minutes, I finally found the classroom and the door was open so I went inside to take a seat somewhere empty since I didn't know most of the people here. My first class, theater.
After sitting alone for a few minutes, the seat at the right next to me became occupied by a girl with shoulder-length hair, which was dyed light brown at the top, but gradually got darker near the ends. She wore circular frames, and her red barrette was adorned with a small strawberry charm. She put down her backpack, blowing her fringe bangs away from her eyes before facing me with a small smile. "Hi."
I turned to her, returning the smile. "Hello." Even though I hated talking to strangers, she had some kind of aura that made me want to have a chat with her. "I'm Choi Jiwoo." I raised my hand to shake hands with her.
She looked down at my hand and returned the handshake. "I'm Park Hyeri." Goodness, her hands are so soft.
We chatted for a bit until I noticed somebody familiar walking inside the classroom. The one and only Seokjin- the person that I was extremely rude to because he was a stranger. He spotted me and turned his head to focus what he was doing before, totally ignoring me. I felt a stab of pain in my chest, knowing that the way he was acting was all my fault. He took a seat at the left next to me because that was the only seat available. I stared at my hands below the desk, mentally slamming my head on any surface possible. Dang it Jiwoo, why were you so negative to him? Is it because he was that handsome that you became so jealous?
Not long after everybody got settled, the teacher entered the classroom and handed out a syllabus which listed everything about her class. She then talked about class project procedures that you had to do whatever role you were assigned even if you didn't like it. Dang, that's harsh, I thought, but I just hope I don't get a sucky role.
"Our upcoming play will be based on Romeo and Juliet," the teacher announced, which caught my attention. I stared at the board as she wrote out the roles for the play. "First come first serve," she said. Kids then started scrambling towards the board and I immediately got up, but I was shoved to the back. Darn it. I can't see the board. You and your shortness, Jiwoo...
When most of the people left, I could see most of the board and there were three roles left. Romeo, Juliet, and some other role. The other role was quickly taken by some person. Darn it- that means there was only two roles left. Romeo and Juliet.
I grabbed the marker and wrote my name near Juliet, regretting life decisions.
What I didn't know that Seokjin was behind me, feeling the same way I did as he wrote his name next to Romeo.
Welp, time to commit fork in toaster now, am I right?
A/N: I know this was a somewhat short chapter but I'll try to lengthen the next one. I'm not sure if I can post every day, but I can try TvT anyways thanks for reading and leave some tips at the bottom if you have any :')
