We walk into my bedroom and we get out of our wet clothes. I grab my bikini and walk out the door. I had my phone in my hand when I got a text.
Sarah: hey wrud?
Beth: goin swimin wanna come?
Sarah: duh
I tell her where to arrive and head out with Lacie.
"Hey Beth." Lacie said
"What do you want?"i ask.
"Sarah is coming right?" She asked.
"Yeah. She texted me and I invited her to come swimming with us." I say.
"Why are we going to the lake when you have a pool?" She asked.
"I want to... you know..." I say. Lacie rolls her eyes and her phone vibrates. It was Sarah calling her. She picks up the phone then just hangs up.
"Does Sarah like me." She ask.
"I don't know. What did she say?" I asked.
"She says that I'm the reason her life is ruined." I look at Lacie and grab her phone and call Sarah.
"Hey this is Beth."
"Oh hey Beth." She coughed to clear her thout.
"I hate you. You ruined my life." She says. After a second she starts laughing.
"I said the same thing to Lacie. I didn't mean it. Is she ok?" She asked. I look over at Lacie and she looks at me with a concerned look on her face. I mouth she was kidding. She reaches for the phone and I give it to her. They talk until we get to the lake. We pay for our wrist band and jump in the water.
"Beth. I hope we can find some cute guys around." She said.
"Yeah right. As ugly as I am they might just run away from us if your around me." I say. I have always been insecure.
Sarah arrives and waves at us and runs to the water. She reached us.
"Gosh. My legs are too fast for my body." She says and that comment makes us laugh.
