It's been a week since the incident, the break-in of the coffee shop. Jaemin sat at his usual spot, studying for the next important test coming up. Because of the recent events, he couldn't tutor himself as much as he wanted to. The barista admired the purple, orange and red palette of colors spreading over the sky.
Even now, he's distracted. Not of the sky though. Because of the robber, the trespasser. Well, the suspected robber. Jisung claims its Jeno because it was around the time of night he and his crew would plan such an act.
The police have not gotten back to the coffee shop manager about anything else regarding the event. Jaemin was impatient about it. He wanted to know too. But, he'll have to wait.
The brunet let out a sigh as y jeans he closed his notebook full of his astronomy notes. His mind is keeping him from reviewing his notes and the distraction of the beautiful, colorful palette is not helping him. He might as well study at home.
Jaemin sat up from the dusty, dirt patch he was sitting on. Dusting himself off, while he was walking. Inserting the pair of earphones, pressing shuffle on his beat up phone. The beat up phone may of may not be from Donghyuck when he thought throwing it over Jaemin's fence was a good idea. His eyes averted to his hands wiping his skinny jeans. The dirty, dark Converse he was sporting were walking upon the Earth, the dirt path taking pattern of the soles of his shoes.
Enjoying the sound of some Ateez song on high volume, Jaemin hit a soft wall that made him bounce off in response and fall. The brunet landed on his bottom, his bottom receiving a thrill of pain. Silently cursing to himself, and apologizing to the body in front of him, a similar voice replies to him in a soft tone:
"It's fine- wait, aren't you that barista who served me a week ago?"
Jaemin heard that voice before and as he looked up, he realized why the voice sounded familiar:
It's Jeno.
