Ding, ding. Ding, ding.

"Okay everyone, I'll see you next Monday! Have a good rest of the day!" Mrs. Melly called out as everyone in the class filed out the doorway.

However, me being a very lazy human, I took my sweet time to get out of the class.

Though, just before I got out of the class, I took a quick glance at Mrs. Melly. The woman was busy with paperwork at her desk.

I then realized that no one had returned her greeting. Even though, she was nice to everyone during the whole class period.

Pursing my lips, I take an orange out of my lunch bag. Making sure I had the fruit secured in my hand, I quickly made my way to her.

"Have a nice day Mrs. Melly," I say as I put the orange on her desk, "I'd give you an apple, but I'm not an apple fan,"

She smiles at me, "Well that's good because I'm not an apple fan either. Now, you'd better head to lunch if you want to find a seat. That place gets packed fast!"

I nod at her, "Don't worry I won't have any problems finding a seat."

She chuckled, "If you say so. Now, if you don't mind, I have a meeting that I need to get ready for. I'll see you on Monday!"

"I don't mind at all. Bye Mrs. Melly," I say to her as I wave her goodbye.

Within seconds, I was out of the class and heading to lunch.

I know that many people think that it's weird to talk to your teachers like that, but I was only trying to repay her kindness. Plus, how else am I supposed to get some good recommendations on my resume.

"Have you heard about the new guy?" One girl asks another girl.

"The one with the accent? What about him?" The 'another girl' questions back.

Seems like we've got us a couple of gossips girls.

I looked down to my phone and noted that five minutes of lunch were already gone. There's no point in hurrying now. All the good seats were probably gone by now. Might as well listen to some juicy gossip.

"I've heard that he's the heir to a really big company," Girl number one tells girls number two.

"Him? But's he so plain," Girl number two says to girl number one in disgust.

Okay, I'm sorry, but who the heck is this plain person?

"I know right. It's so unfair," Girl number one, says with a weird looking pout- I'm not even sure if you can even call that a pout.

"What was his name again? Kendric, right?" Girl number two asks girl number one.

"Mm-hmm. That's the name" Girl number one says in a confirming tone.

Kendric? The cute guy from Healthcare class? How is he plain?

Therefore, me being a very weird, crazy, and very curious person, I enter into their 'private' conversation.

"I don't get it. Why do you guys think Kendric is plain? I think he's pretty cute. I mean, have you seen his eyes?"

The girls turn around and look at me as if I've hit my head on a tree or something.

"Weirdo," girl number one mumbles to girl number two. Then the two girls just walk off as if I never even existed.

"Rude!" I exclaimed loudly, making sure, those two heard me.

Then again, I might have been a little weird. However, it wasn't enough for them to be so mean.

With a surge of unhappiness running through me, I stiffly walked to the cafeteria. On my way, I prayed to god and hoped with all my might that there would be at least one seat left in that catastrophe called a cafeteria.
