Author Notes: My first try at reader x canon. Don't comment rudely okay? Prince of tennis, and I must say I was in the mood for a tragic one. Joke extended ending thoughXD Enjoy:)

[-Tezuka x Reader-]

I made a promise, and I will keep it.

{~I'll never forget that day 

It was a memory that kept repeating in my mind 

If only I can have you again for even just one second 

If only I can take it back...~}

Tezuka got up from his bed in shock. He gripped the bed sheets,'That dream again...' Then, falling back into the pillows, he put an arm on his forehead,'[Name]. When will you return?' The alarm clock rang and he shut it. Getting ready for school, he touched the keychain tied to his bag,'You liar. It's been over two years. It's seven now. I can still remember the day you left.'

{~You're a rich girl  

While I'm chained to this poor destiny 

Vulnerable to the ploy of cruel fate 

Yet another pair of tragic lovers~}

She shuffled her feet,'Kunimitsu.' Tezuka smiled,'[Name]!' She laughed, brightly handing out the gift in her hands,'Happy birthday!' He smiled gratefully,'A scrapbook and a, what's this?' She smiled,'A special keychain. Open it up!' He caressed the circular object he held, and with a slight push of the button, the lid snapped opened and revealed a pic of him and her, smiling during their first meeting where they took a picture for memory. He said,'I, this is wonderful!' She smiled,'Thank you. I have one too.' Tezuka smiled,'That means we are a pair! Together forever!' She laughed again,'Yeah!' and then her voice dropped,'Oh, there's a letter in there. Read it around 10pm. Promise me.' Tezuka was slightly confused but nodded,'Okay.'

Later that day, he opened the letter. It wrote:  

Kunimitsu, I bet by the time you read this, I'll be on the plane. I'm going to London. I won a scholarship in that place and this is my chance to become a professional tennis player. Sorry I couldn't tell you this, but I promise I will be back in two years. You'll always be my special friend. 

Please, wait for me. 

[Name]

He slammed on the table,'[Name]!' and he cried himself to sleep that night. 

From that day on, no one ever messed with his feelings. He kept then locked in, waiting for his friend to return. Waiting.

My interests and dreams 

I committed a terrible crime 

That heartlessly crushed you~}

She couldn't hold her heart up any longer. When she saw him smile, she felt her words would crush him. She could only give him a letter, before disappearing from his sight forever.

Her family was a rich, and wealthy one that ran a law firm named Shinjiteru Law Corporate. They named it as such to show the people how much they can trust them to handle the cases. But She didn't want to be a lawyer, She wanted to be a tennis player. Her family objected to it and forcefully brought her to London. She lied through her teeth and wrote that she was going to a scholarship. But then, when she was there, she won a tennis scholarship. It was a three year one. By then, four years had passed since she was seven. She was eleven now, and so was Tezuka. She gratefully picked it up and learnt well.
