Ellis was finally outside, after making his way out of the crowd. He felt heart beat slow down, his eyelids felt so heavy, he's never felt so tired before. He was oblivious as to why his drink tasted a bit salty out of nowhere while he was talking with some city slicker. Until he felt instantly drunk, even though he'd only had a few sips of his drink that night. He got nervous when he felt the taller man pull him close to him, he mumbled something about "having too much to drink" and
"take you safe home." That's where he realized what was going on and he wanted no part of it, but he couldn't fight back or say anything eligible. He was too weak from whatever drug that asshat gave him. He should've listened to his mama, the city really is dangerous, he internally beat himself up for getting into that mess.
But there are some good people, like the guy who actually stood up for him and saved him, boy was he glad somebody out there had enough kindness in their heart to help a stranger.
Right now, he was leaning against a pole after calling his buddy Kieth, trying his hardest not to faint.
Ellis looked around if there was any place for him to sit on.
Nick felt slightly nervous when the southern man looked at him, but he knew he needed at least somewhere to sit down so he doesn't fall on his ass out on the street. Ellis was rather glad and relieved the man who saved him was still nearby, he wanted to thank him really, but he felt so tired. Ellis wobbled over to him anyways and plopped down next to him and tried speaking up,
"Mmm...ahem..ah..th-thank you..back there.."
He mustered up enough energy to talk to him for a bit, before completely passing out on the dude's shoulder.
Nick felt his head fall down onto his shoulder and paused.
Crap...no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
He felt stuck in his position to keep from waking up the other, he never experience something like this before. This was ALMOST something out of a rom-com, ya know except with a club, a rapist, and a conman...
Nick felt his cheeks warm up, the Southerner scent filled his nose. He smelled almost like a strawberry pastry mixed with a little bit of vodka. He sighed and stopped tensing his muscles from the other's head.
