Two days passed, it took Ellis that long to realize he had the man's phone number in his jeans. It was kind of silly, but it took him another 2 days to have enough confidence to call/text him. His face would heat up when he would type in the number into the keypa, he eventually decided he'd call him and leave a message. However, he never expected him to pick up so fast. His face flushed, he was quiet for a bit until he heard a voice,
"Hello?"
Ellis snapped out of it and flustered,
"Ah! Hiya! Erm..."
Nick's face turned red when he heard the hick's voice, it sent shivers down his spine.
"Hey...uh, you're the one from the club the other night, right?"
Ellis' heart pounded and he smiled, "Y-yeah!I jus' wanted t' uh...thank you very much!My names Ellis by th'way! Never got yours..."
Nick on the other end smiled and decided to be bold, "Yeah? Well it's Nick. Say why don't we meet up at restaurant, hell I could be your guide in the city, you and your buddy don't exactly look experienced."
He chuckled remembering that beat up pickup truck.
"What do you say, fireball?"
Ellis' eyes sparkled, just the thought of going out with him made him feel like a schoolboy again.
"Mm-Yeah! I'd love that!"
They exchanged their goodbyes and Ellis' heart pounded, he wasn't sure if it was going to be a date, but he decided to lay out a 'fancy' outfit with him, he didn't want to look out of fashion to the cityman.
Nick on the otherhand, he was kind of freaking out, Oh, man what the hell did I just do, I just met him and I'm already taking him out on a date, This isn't like me at all! God what is wrong with me...
He interuppted his thoughts by mentally slapping himself, he reminded himself that Ellis actually sounded happy and up for his offer, he'll be fine.
Right?
He felt kind of lightheaded and anxious as hell, its been a WHILE since he's done this for someone special to him. He decided to light his cigarette and take a step out in his hotel balcony to relieve some stress.
That night Ellis and Nick both slept nervous and excited, to some degree.
