Prologue

If anything, you know the story. But, as God or, what you call Narrator, I should remind you of the Good Omens. And of how my power works here.

According to the Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch - the world's only totally reliable guide to the future, written in 1655, before she exploded - the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just after tea...

People have been predicting the end of the world almost from its very beginning, so it's only natural to be skeptical when a new date is set for Judgement Day. This time though, the armies of Good and Evil did appear to be massing.

By the same token the earth itself is generally supposed to be about four and a half thousand million years old. These dates are incorrect. Medieval Jewish scholars put the date of the Creation at 3760 B.C. Greek Orthodox theologians put Creation as far back as 5508 B.C. These suggestions are also incorrect. Archbishop James Usher (1580-1656) published Annales Veteris et Novi Testamenti in 1654, which suggested that the Heaven and the Earth were created in 4004 B.C. One of his aides took the calculation further, and was able to announce triumphantly that the Earth was created on Sunday the 21st of October, 4004 B.C. , at exactly 9:00 A.M.

You get it. This all started in The Garden with Adam and Eve and a forbidden fruit.

And that is where our angel and demon meet.

And from then, Aziraphale and Crowley would keep crossing paths with one another through the timeline. Even when they were breaking rules on working together, I was curious to see the outcome. Honestly, the angels and demons hadn't figured it out for over 6000 years.

Well, its the year 2019 now. 11 years ago the child of Satan was born and brought to earth for the start of Armageddon. But, the situation changed from what the demons had planned. Originally, the wife of an Ambassador was supposed to receive this child after she gave birth to her biological son, where the Satanic nuns would switch him out for the Antichrist child. But another couple was also in labor.

And, well, that's where the switch went wrong. You see, Crowley, to avoid suspicion of his alliance/friendship with Aziraphale, he played along while shouting "Shit" multiple times in his 1926 Bentley car while driving to deliver the child.

Blah blah blah, what ended up happening was the nuns took the child to the other couple and swapped their child to switch with the Ambassadors child. But the demons and angels of heaven and hell thought the first plan in action. No one knew the mistake till the child's 11th birthday.
Aziraphale and Crowley still worked together, trying to prevent Armageddon. But, when they were told the Hellhound would arrive for the child to name and start the worlds end, it never came.

That's because the demon beast was already going to the true child of Satan.

There's more to the story I really don't need to spoil. So I'll say the end.
Armageddon was prevented, the angels and demons took Crowley and Aziraphale to their worlds for execution not realizing the two of them switched places, and now they believe they are fully immortal from Holy water and Hell Fire.

Honestly, I was impressed too.

Now, everyone gets on with their lives. Heaven and Hell haven't planned on fighting or destroying the world for war. Adam, the Antichrist, lives a peaceful life where he doesn't start the worlds end, and Aziraphale and Crowley live off the rest of their lives.

But the days have gone by and I need to create.

I wanted to put these two to a test. I've been watching them for a while. There's something between them that they keep denying. An odd feeling.

but I knew what I was doing.

Now, Let me explain how my job works here.

You see, God doesn't play the world with dice, rather I fancy to a game of cards. What you call Poker. I'm not deciding how the creation plays out. I test them like a set of cards in a poker game. Either it ends well, or I fold. And trust me, I haven't had a full house win, yet.

So, I play my cards right, watching the deck. Trusting my choices.
My creation starts off small, planning how it'll grow and where it ends.
And I know where to put it.

And that's where we starts in this sequel. Lets see how this plays out.

And it starts in a bookshop in London.
