Guardian Angel

Chapter 9

Today was the first day that SinB would work together with Yerin. Even though she was excited to go to the company and see Yerin, she first made a quick stop at her usual spot, at the cafe on the corner.

As she pushed the door open with one hand, other hand in her pocket since it was cold outside and she didn't want her hands to dry out, she saw the girl she looked forward seeing standing at the counter.

"Goodmorning, SinB-sshi!" Yerin said with a blush on her cheeks as she suddenly saw SinB walking towards her.

SinB, who had her face almost buried in her scarf, nodded at her as a greeting.

"Well look who we have there." Umji said, putting two cups of coffee on the counter, nudging Yerin's arm to make her say the thing she had rehearsed saying.

"SinB, would you like to walk together to the company?" She said as she gave the cup of coffee to SinB, who was doing a little dance to warm up, making Yerin chuckle.

"Goodluck." Umji whispered as the two of them walked towards the door where Yuju was standing with her thumbs up smiling at them, both holding their warm coffee.

Not that SinB or Yerin realized that goodluck was meant for the both of them though.

Even though SinB and Yerin were walking to the company together neither of them said anything because they didn't have the courage.

SinB was the first one to break the silence after a while.

"I didn't know you knew Umji?" She said with a muffled voice, face still buried in her scarf, which Yerin found adorable by the way.

"Umji? Yeah, we became friends at the cafe some time ago."

"Some time ago.. Wait, how long have you actually been going to that cafe?"

"..About a year or something?"

"A year?!" SinB facepalmed, making Yerin laugh as she realized what SinB was thinking.

"Don't worry, I've always been the quiet type so it's normal.

"Aishh. Anyways, I'm glad that you decided to join the company. Well, I mean, the company's lucky, I mean glad to have you, you know." Good job SinB.

The two of them both shuddered as they suddenly felt a cold breeze, but SinB was wearing a thick jacket and Yerin was just wearing a one piece and a thin vest.
"Aren't you cold like that?" SinB asked.

"It's okay, it's my own fault for not wearing something warmer." Yerin said smiling, but SinB saw her shivering pale hands. Knowing how much she hated her hands being all dried out thanks to the cold weather she took one of Yerin's hands in her own hand and tucked their hands in her own pocket of her jacket. It wasn't much but this would help a little bit at least.

Yerin quickly looked the other way as her cheeks flushes red by the sudden touch of SinB's warm hands.

Eunha and Sowon were both wiggling their eyebrows at SinB as they saw that her and Yerin came here together, basically holding hands.

She was probably going to get teased a lot more from now on.

Yerin had her first photoshoot today, so SinB would be there too to give instructions about how she wants the photos to look. Hani had told her at the meeting yesterday that she wanted SinB to work closely together with Yerin and monitor everything, as that would help with portraying Angel Line exactly like how she wants it instead of letting others being in care of those things.

SinB agreed ofcourse, since this made sense but also since she'd be able to work together with Yerin.

The photoshoot went smoothly, even though Yerin actually wasn't a real model, something that SinB didn't know but it wouldn't really matter to her, she was a real natural at it. She changed from pose after every few seconds and always knew where to look or how to stand to get the perfect angle.

Even though SinB was supposed to give comments or instructions, there was no need since Yerin looked perfect in every single shot.
The clothes that SinB had designed looked made Yerin look even more stunning, the fabric wrapping perfectly around her curves.

SinB basically just stood there with her mouth open, staring at Yerin the whole time.

When the photoshoot was almost finished one of the photographers suddenly turned around to SinB to say something.

"SinB-sshi? Maybe you should join her now?"

"Wait, sorry, what?"

"I thought it might be a good idea to take pictures from the both of you, since that would make people notice that this fashion line is from Guardian Angel, and it might be a nice change since normally it's always just the models being shown.

He had a point, SinB got quickly recognized by people so if she were to appear with a model on a magazine for instance it would probably gather more attention. She went to change as she wasn't dressed to appear in a photoshoot and nervously went to Yerin afterwards.

Even though the idea itself was good, the problem was that it was Yerin she'd have to do this with, and SinB wasn't really able to act natural around her so she ended up stiffly standing next to her.

Yerin noticed her discomfort and leaned closer to her.

"Just follow my lead, okay?"

With Yerin helping SinB who slowly relaxed a little the shoot went by quickly, even though it felt like ages for SinB since some of the poses they had to do made them stand so close to each other that SinB felt like she could faint anytime. She wondered if Yerin's heart was also beating as quickly as hers, she didn't show it at least if it did.

Little did she know that Yerin's heart was in fact pounding so fast that she felt like it was going to jump out of her chest anytime.
