"Princess the king has summoned you,"

"Thank you Yutija I'll be there in a minute."

I refuse to be married off to some stranger, after all I'm only nineteen. I'll give Dad a piece of my mind before I ever agree to breed somebody else's children.

Gracefully Maruva stood up from her chair after fixing herself up in the mirror. She didn't like the whole idea other people dressing her up and besides Yutija had to deliver the news that she was on her way.

As quickly as I could I walked through the long corridor from my quarters to the throne room where I knew my father was.

"Your majesty," informed the guard, " Princess Maruva."

With that said Maruva curtsied and waited for her father's signal.

"OH come on my child there's no need for all that, come sit right next to me. I know you have a lot to say."

The king stretched out his out hand whilst wearing a sloppy sided smile, which confirmed just how much he loved his daughter. She sat down next to him with her tinny hands in his big ones.

King Mutapa took a moment to look at his once baby girl .

She is practically a woman now,the king thought to himself which made him sad. His baby girl was all grown up now.

"This must be hard for you Maruva but we have no choice. If it were up to me no man would come near you at all, I'd very much have loved if you died a virgin like Elizabeth." The king said proudly whilst holding eye contact.

"Dad!!" Maruva gasped and looked away from embarrassment."We don't don't know that.", she whispered to herself.

Geez old man . Way to go and turn me into a beetroot.

"So your mother and I were talking and have dicided  not to get you married right away, my daughter needs to grow up before she becomes anyone's wife."

Oh my God I can't believe this is happening. I've been praying for this for two months now.

" So does this mean I get to go to University?",she asked hopefully.

"Yes, but you'll be taking Yutija with you. She'll be there to guide you just in case anyone recognises ok?"

Maruva lept from her seat and gave her father a bear hug.

" What about the war, won't Sazodia be mad?",she worridly asked and her excitement decreased.

"Don't you worry about that my dear ,your mother I have it under control.", the said doubtful.

"Do you really think her brother will help us?"

"For your sake I really hope he does, in the meantime Yutija will be training you harder than usual."

" I really am gratefull for this father and I promise I won't let you down.", Maruva honestly promised.

" I want to go south where I know for sure people won't  recognize me.

" You make a good point, now start preparing because in three months you'll be off to Uni.

"I can't believe it's already been three months my princess,"Yutija said excitedly.

"It's  Maruva now, were not in the palace anymore Yutija."

This made her blush.

"Was actually thinking of calling myself Rue, do you like it?" She asked trying to make conversation with the servant she practically grew up with.
