"And why not?" she asked me, confused.

"It's my school" I said, staring at the black ink printed on the paper saying Eastern High school. She came over and looked at the name I was pointing at; I couldn't tell her facial expressions or what she was thinking, all she did was nod and leave, leaving me there confused at whats going to happen.

I've been wandering around my parents office looking at old books on the bookcases and drawing random doodles on the sheets sitting on the desk while waiting for Maria to come back with an update for the last hour. Suddenly the door flys open and in comes Maria and someone who I least expected to have anything to do with this conversation.. Miles.

"ok, we've talked to your parents and we've decided that you will go,"

"but-"

"no excuses, as everyone in the school knows Miles is the princess bodyguard so he will accompany you like always, for everyone else they shouldn't expect your the same person since others think your away with your parents for a few weeks" not the best excuse for me not being in but my parents aren't great at this stuff, I looked over at Miles and he just gave me an encouraging smile which I couldn't help but blush a little.

"Ok, fine" this better go to plan.

Beep Beep

I slam my alarm and looking up to see what time it is 7:00 am my clock read. Today I'm going to school before I "go away on holidays" I decided on some casual jeans and a pink top tucked into my jeans, I left my hair down just brushing threw it and put on light makeup on, I grabbed my jacket and slipping on my vans while quickly putting my sunglasses in my bag and ran out the door, I knocked on miles door on the way shouting "hurry up loser!" hearing a grunt from the other side  which I couldn't help but laugh a little. When I got down the stairs my brother was standing there at the door waiting for me and Miles but now just waiting for miles.

"Hey lil' bro, ready for school?" I asked him.

"Yep can't wait to see everyone" I'm glad he's made friends, it was always hard for him growing up as when he made them they ended up using him even at a young age . "ready?" Miles said grabbing his keys as he headed out the door not even taking a glance at us. "morning to you to" I said to the grumpy asshole, forcing himself down the stairs and into his truck.

We were nearly at the school gates about 5 minutes away when all of a sudden the car starts to slow down "whats going on?" he didn't say anything just kept trying to push down on the pedal then all of a sudden the car stopped "looks like we have broken down, princess" great! at least we can walk to the school but getting back will be a problem since no one can know where we live.

"Looks like we'll have to walk now, or we will be late" he says.

"What about the truck, we can wait till the tow truck comes it doesn't matter if were late" he just looks me in the eyes trying to read me as I try to read him.

"I don't think thats good idea princess, your parents or Maria wouldn't be happy" and with that he grabbed our bags and handed me mine telling my brother to come on as he was still in the truck doing whatever on his phone. We started walking as Miles talked to a tow truck company to come collect his truck, we arrived at school 1 minute before the bell was about to ring I kept walking to my locker which is opposite miles kind off until I realised he wasn't following.

"You coming?" I asked.

"Just have to make another quick call you two go ahead, or just you" he said, I was confused until I looked beside me and then behind seeing my brother running down the corridor into the middle school area I couldn't help but let out a giggle.

"There you are!" I looked to my left side seeing Lilian walking up to me. "hey-" I was interrupted by her "no time for hellos we have class to attend unfortunately and we don't want Mr. I like giving people detention another reason to give you one" before I could respond I was dragged down the corridor and handed my books by her, I looked behind me to look at Miles to give him a synthetic smile but he was laughing at my best friend dragging me away while giving me a quick wave.

FINALLY! School is over, I went to my locker and grabbed my stuff then heading over towards Miles who was chatting with my brother and ruffling his hair. "ready?" he turns towards me, a bit startled by my presents. "ye, lets go" the three of us walked down the corridors, when we saw students run out the doors, whats going on? "shit I told him to park away from the school gates" Miles muttered, what was he on about? until I opened the door and saw people surrounding a limo trying to get a glance who's in it, with my driver Leo standing there, I looked over a Miles glaring at him he just looked away. We pushed are way threw the crowd as Leo spotted Miles and the 2 secret royals who were trying to fit in but at this moment it was very hard.

"Ms. Mendes you ready?" Leo asked me, thankful using the other surname. "yep I said as my brother got in the limo first, then me and finally Miles. Instead of everyone looking at Miles they were looking at me, bet they didn't expect that.

"What the hell Miles," he looked at me with raised eyebrows "We could've got caught if people realised that this Leo, is the princess and prince's driver. "I didn't expect that to happen, I'm sorry ok Maddison" he said with a bit of angry in his voice, I dropped it and just looked out the window.

We arrived home and Charlie ran straight to his room but not forgetting to ask Millie one of the servants to get him pancakes to eat, only my brother. As for me I headed into the study planning on reading a book before I had to go to my room and get changed for a meeting with the vice-president. "you ok?" Miles said following me into the room while I look threw shelfs of books. "ye I'm fine, why?".

"I don't know you just seem down lately"

"I'm fine just stressed with running the country and pretending to be normal" he walked over to the couch patting the space beside him telling me to sit, which I did.

"You know last time we sat here together we nearly kissed"

"Ye I know" I said now looking him in the eyes.

"I should have"

What I said next surprised me "then do it" and with them words he leaned in, same as me. His lips were soft and not needy, it was... nice, no scrap that perfect I got little butterflies at the end off my stomach when he pulled away, I couldn't help but blush, what was happening to me?

Omg finally took days to write this sorry it took so long I'm trying to transfer all my old stories onto this account and it takes way more time then I expected should have the next chapter up tomorrow on Saturday depends on the school work I have hope you enjoyed this chapter.
