Parker was twirling her pencil as she listened to the teacher talking, Dean was next to her with his head down, playing with the fingers of her free hand

The classroom door opened and Roman came in with his bag, looking sheepish as everyone's eyes turned to him, he told the teacher that football training ran longer than usual and he sat down two desks to the side of Parker

Roman glanced at where they were, a small smile on his face. Her hair was up in a ponytail with loose strands framing her face and she was looking into her book with a calm expression as she took notes of something

"Mr. Reigns, please pay attention to the class and not to Parker," the teacher said and Roman flinched and blushed as the rest of the class, as well as Parker looked at him. He quietly apologized and set his eyes back into his book

As the teacher continued her lecture, and Roman chanced a glance at Parker and he grinned when he saw she was already looking at him, she smiled back and gave a small wave which he reciprocated and then she bit her lip and turned back to where she had been looking in her book and Roman stared a little longer before turning back to his own and he smiled throughout the entire class

"Why was he staring at you?" Dean asked while they walked down the hallway to meet Seth at the shade tree on the far side of the football field

Today was one of the lucky days that they had football practice twice so when the coach had the boys running laps around the field when Parker and Dean got there, they didn't question it. They just looked around for Seth, seeing him sitting under the big shade tree, his nose pressed to the book on his lap

"Hey bud," Parker greeted, dropping next to Seth and Dean rolled his eyes when he realized that Parker was avoiding his question and he sat down to just as the team ran out on the field

Parker watched Seth take his lunch out and she let her head fall on Dean's shoulder with a sigh and smiled when Seth offered them the sandwiches his mom made. Seth never really had much friends so when he told his mom about his two new best friends, Dean and Parker, she now made lunch for them to, she loved them.

Parker took one as did Dean and they sat and just talked for a while until Roman took off his helmet when he saw Parker, he was jealous of the wind that blew through her hair, where his fingers should have been, she looked over and met his eyes, she raised her hand and waved, he immediately replied to the wave and a bright smile, he definitely had a crush on her

AJ Styles and his Club watched this interaction and AJ frowned

"What the fuck is Reigns doing?" He barked and Karl and Luke looked at him

"We need his head in the game, he's our captain, his mind can't be on Hail Mary over there," he told them and Luke and Karl nodded in agreement

"We should tell the rest of the team, he seriously needs to get his head in the game, this is the game that can take us to championships and if our captain ain't in it then we can kiss the championship goodbye," AJ insisted

"Will the other guys go through with it?" Karl asked and AJ shrugged

"I know Cena won't go through with it, but I can get the other boys on board," he replied, looking as Roman ran over to Parker and Dean immediately rolled his eyes, AJ saw a chance he could capitalize on and smirked

"Hey Parker," Roman greeted as he slowed to a stop in front of the beautiful girl

"Oh hey Roman," she greeted with a warming smile as he blushed

"I was wondering if you'd want to go out for some ice cream later?" He asked and Parker blushed, both Dean and Seth's eyes widened

"Is it a date?" She asked, without malice as she smiled up at him

"Do you want it to be?" Roman asked, unsure if his crush was reciprocated

"I'll meet you at the Palace at 6," she said and Roman took a minute before he grinned big and wide as he realized she said yes

"Okay see you there," he replied with a wink as he backed away and went back onto the field to call a huddle

"You like him huh?" Seth asked, his stuttering around Parker and Dean had stopped, showing he had gotten comfortable with them

"I mean-" she shrugged

"I haven't been here that long but he seems like a nice guy, what's an ice cream date gonna do?" She asked with a shrug and Dean gritted his teeth and then when Seth looked at him, he clenched his jaw 

Dean closed the locker door as he held his Principles of Business book in his hand

"Yo Ambrose!" He heard and turned to see AJ Styles leaning against the locker opposite to where Dean was

"So judging by your reaction to Reigns  earlier, you don't want this little date to happen either," AJ said and Dean glared at him

"The fuck you playing at Styles?" Dean asked and AJ half heartedly shrugged

"We need our captain's head in the game, and while he's oogling Parker, that's not gonna happen and I know what happened with your sister and Reigns' brother, I know you wanna protect that from happening to Parker," AJ said and Dean's eyes widened at the thought of AJ knowing about his sister

"The same thing's gonna happen if we don't keep them from getting closer," AJ continued

Dean began thinking, AJ did have a good point, he did not need Parker to end up like his own sister, he loved Parker so much, she was his best friend, could he betray her by purposely keeping her away from Roman? Someone who she obviously saw interest in?

"I'm in." Dean said, it was for her own good. AJ lit up at the revelation

"Could you get Rollins on board to?" He asked and Dean frowned

"Yeah I can try," he replied, it mightn't be that hard to convince him, you could hit that kid any sob story and he'd go with it

He didn't wanna hurt Parker, but he also didn't wanna see Parker hurt like how his sister was hurt, he couldn't bear to even think about it, he ran a hand through his hair as AJ left. He'd have to go through with this, cuz it's what's best for Parker, to be far away from a no good Reigns
