I didn't think we would ever move on from each other. I thought we would always end up together, but sometimes out greatest fantasies and dreams are just that...dreams and fantasies. It all started three years ago...Justin stumbled into your life just by accident. But that was another thing you had learned...nothing was by accident.

Justin was a sweet mistake. You never meant to take it so far...you had met him through mutual friendships. After meeting him the two years together were a blur. You spent weeks together. You both honestly thought you were destined to be married and live happily ever after. But change can come unexpectedly, and when it does, it screws up a ton of things before it finally becomes the new normal.

Dylan. Dylan changed everything. Or perhaps not...you were the one who made the ultimate decision.

Thinking back to those years, now being in the present brought an dull ache to your chest...it never really went away.

*Flashback*
The rain was pounding against the side of the house. Sitting at your computer you typed away at the keys, smiling at your conversation with Dylan. He was so easy to talk to, everything just clicked with him. It reminded you of how you felt the first time you met Justin... so happy and full of anticipation. The reality was that your love for Justin had grown cold. You didnt know how or why, but you felt that Dylan had a little to do with it.

Dylan was fresh and exciting. You thought about him all the time. He was nice and funny. And in your mind, almost as hot as Justin. And sure, Justin still loved you just as much, but you were selfish, and greedy. You didnt know it at the time, but you took Justin, and everyone else for granted. Once you became even the slightly bored, you would move on to the next person. It wasnt that Justin had done anything to change your mind about him, it was that you assumed he would always be there...in the backround while you put other people in the spotlight, taking up all your attention, andd right now that person was Dylan. Blushing at something Dylan wrote to you, you heard a sound at the door.

"Hey baby!" Justin called unlocking the door. Your heart dropped to the floor. Justin knew about Dylan, and his threat toward your relationship, but he didnt know everything. "How's my girl?!" Justin strolled over to you, peeling off his wet coat. "Hi J." You mumbled, quickly exiting out of the chat with Dylan. "You look gorgeous as always." Justin smiled standing behind your chair, kissing the top of your head. "What would you like to do tonight?" Justin asked moving your hair to one side. " I dont really care." You shifted in your seat. "C'mon babe, lately you always say that." Justin said placing his hands on your shoulder. Your heart quickened for a moment as you felt Justin's soft lips come in contact to your neck. "I love you Y/N." He murmed, gently nibbling at your skin. Sitting quietly your chest felt heavy, like you were betraying him by sitting there motionless, not saying anything back.

Justin continued kissing your neck, sending shivers down your spine. Closing your eyes you took a deep breath...you couldnt take it anymore... "Justin! Please...stop." You pleaded turning around to face him. Immediatley pulling back Justin's face met yours with confusion. "What's wrong?" He asked, puzzled, licking his lips. The ones that used to be the only ones you would want to kiss. "I...Justin...." You stuttered, tears springing into your eyes. "What's the matter sweetheart." His sympathetic face made this even harder. When he called you babe and sweetheart... He started to comfort you in a hug but you backed away. "Justin...I..Im sorry...but." Your lip trembled but you stopped the tears from falling. "I just think...lately, I think, um, I dunno, just, I've been...tired." You searched for the right words, but there weren't any. "What do you mean?" Justin arched his eyebrow not understanding. "I mean...I don't think we're right for each other...anymore." You mumbled looking away from his shocked face. "What! Why!?" Justin raised his voice, clearly upset. "I feel like our love has become boring and it just feels cold...and I.." Justin cut you off, "If you felt that you should've told me! Because I never once felt that, I've loved you from the moment i laid eyes on you! And ever since that moment I've fallen in love with you more and more! If I didn't show that..." "No! Justin...that's not it, you're a great guy...and you loved me the best way you knew for a time....and I did love you, but sometimes people move on..." You were spitting out words and didn't think for a second what was behind them, and what they meant. "Wait. you 'did?'" Justin breathed out, his voice becoming a hushed whisper. "Justin please." "So. w-what happened that made you...?" Justin's voice caught in a small sob, sinking onto the bed, running his fingers through his hair. "Justin I do love you...but like I said, we have to move on sometimes..." You trailed off. "NO WE DONT! Y/N we dont have to move on if our relationship was headed in the right direction! No, there's a different reason, otherwise you wouldnt be saying this. Not now." Justin shook his head, stilll in disbelief.
