Epilog

19 years ago in the kingdom of The three Dragons~
It was a clear night with an ominous full moon at it's peak. The king and queen slept peacefully in there bed with there newborn daughter in a crib beside them oblivious to the black cloaked man scaling the wall of their tower.
The dark and mysterious man finally reached the royal family's balcony and hauled himself up onto it. For a moment he stilled alloying himself to take in the view. It was a well placed balcony, east facing and high enough to give a beautiful view of the sunrise. After a moment he shook himself escaping his daze and turning to the glass doors that served as the barrier between the royal bedchamber and himself. Silently he eased the doors open and sloped inside, leaving them ajar for a quick escape and turning to the royal family.
Just then a baby started to fuss, and the queen stirred. The assassin made it quick with a dagger to the throat of each and moved on to the crib where the baby girl was crying. Reaching his hand down with his knife intending to kill her quickly and get the job over with. But when the girl saw his masked face she smiled. Actually smiled, she took hold of the dagger handle and giggled as she swung it around above her. The assassin was amazed at how she laughed in the face of danger. Hear was a child that was fearless beyond anything he had ever seen not having the heart to kill the girl he picked her up and wrapping her in his cloak so she would stay tight against him and not squirm on the climb back down he started his decent.
About halfway down he here'd shouts of alarm from the wall behind him. He had spent too much time in the tower and the Guard had changed shifts two minutes earlier than usual. He descended faster than before reaching the ground in under a minute and climbing on his waiting horse he thundered out of the castle gates before the iron gait was even half down.
Looking down at the child he had just kidnapped he realized that she had the most remarkable navy eyes with a fiery ring encircling her pupils that reminded him of fire against the night sky. They where the most unusual and beautiful eyes he had ever seen. Enchanting.

Meanwhile
The kingdom of Firebrand was preparing for war and once it started the kingdom would fall to its enemies in less than a month.  Firebrand then took over rule of the Dragon kingdom and forced all its people into poverty.
