1. The Day everything ends

I looked at the couple sitting on the dinning table, they still looked so alive. Just joking, they were totally dead. Their breathing had just stopped with their hearts giving the one last thump and their heads began to swell slightly. The police would never find the weapon used since it's summer now. Ice melt.

I checked my phone again to make sure I had completed all the task: Kill Charles Walker and all the people present.

Yeah, done, totally done. I looked around to see if I had left any evidence behind when I came across the wall filled with photo frames. They must be one big happy family. By the dates written down on every photos with a medium rigid hand-writing, the type that go outing every week. I don't believe Charles Walker to be that sort of goody dad that come home every day exactly at 8pm and bring the kids out every weekend, his records wasn't that clean, to be honest.

I continued to check out the photos when i realised there were always three of them them in the picture. Their kid was not here. He's going to have a real hard time, too bad I can't do anything. Not that I was that heartless, or maybe I am, this is my job. Whether I like it or not. Those who had started on this path can't go back anymore, kill or be killed.

I took another look at the spotless house one last time before stepping out of the house. He was right across the street. Our eyes met, his hazel brown eyes filled with question. I shouldn't come out from the front door! This was no time for regrets, I make a desk beyond the fence, into the woods.

Kris POV

I was finally leaving school from the graduation prom. They were all totally drunk and knocked out, leaving a few empty headed blond still trying to ask me to go out with them.

I was late for dinner with my family, my father was going to kill me for breaking our 'man to man promise' . I promised that I would be back to celebrate his wife, my mum's birthday. It was always like that every year. He loved her just like be never loved me. If he died I might be happy but he was still my father after all.

My house, that was draped in flowers; my mum spent so much time watering them. A girl was standing among the flowers. I can't see her features well due to the dim street lights but I know my heart skipped a beat. She was wearing a grey hoodie and skinny jeans with heels. I knew she was looking directly at me too, just as I was trying to cross the road to get over to her, she sprinted into forest after leaping over the fence elegantly. I could still smell her sweet perfume after she was gone, telling me that she was not something that I make up. However, she doesn't live in this neighbourhood , my chance of meeting her again was zero. A pang of sorrow stabbed into me.

I shook my head and strolled back to the house, when did I become the type of guy that prey on girls on first sight? I didn't even talk to girls other than to rejecting their endless flirting. I had better things to do rather than waste time on them. I turned the unlock door as a sense of dread wash into me. My father was a high rank police officer, he would be more alert about these little detail than anyone else . I entered the house running only to find my parents eye-closed, sitting at the dinning table, leaving their lukewarm feast go cold just like how my heart went cold.

My thoughts drifted back to that girl. She was the one that killed them. Why didn't I see the link from the moment I see her? I felt an flame ignite in me, flame of hatred. I forced back my tears, i was taught by my father to stay calm in all kinds of situation. I pulled out my phone from my back-pocket, dialling the police while my eyes remain stuck onto the lifeless bodies in front of me. I know that a body without a soul is nothing, they were gone and it was my fault.

I stepped out of the house to breath while waiting for the police to come. The forest that the girl ran into looked dark and gloomy. If she was not the murder, she don't have to run when she see me. No, I can't judge just like that. I have to find the murder myself, I'll not tell the police about her. Wait till I find you. I might say I wanted justice but all I really want was revenge

Aqua POV

I made a long walk out of the town to the alley where I parked my car. I almost failed my mission, and I hoped that he won't report it to the police or else I will really receive a long scolding from them. The irritating ringtone for my phone scream again for the thousand time today.

"You done?" A monotone voice came out from my phone.

"Yeah. Too bad his wife was with him, inform the police not to make a big deal of it."

"Do I even need you to remind me?"

"I'm just afraid your pea-brain won't be able to fit these information."

"You whore didn't pounce on every guy you see on your job right?"

"No, they doesn't suit my taste."

"Wow, you don't even want to prove me wrong?" The voice gained some amplitude.

"Of course, arguing with an idiot is totally a waste of energy."

"You... Anyway get back quickly to pass up the report, I want to go home already."

"Sure, sure..." I throw the phone to the seat next to me. I always have to change phone when there's a new job, I was given new phone to contact the boss every time on every mission. It's a pity, I like this phone.
