3. Friend or Foe

I received a package the next morning, just as I was about to leave for lecture. Newest iPhone 5? Wow. Now I had to spent time on iTunes when I suck at those technology stuff. The phone rang just as I touch the phone for the first time.

'Morning, my sexy daughter.'

'Don't be lame and get to the real topic. You know I only call you that because I was lending phone from someone else.'

'Getting angry in the morning will get wrinkles! '

'If you are not going to tell me about the next job, I'm ending the call.'

'Go ahead, I called you just to say hi and I had erase the information on the stolen phone, your job is just to find the person who stole it. Just find, you don't have to catch him or anything, just don't come in contact with him to let him think wrongly.'

'Okay.' I press the red button on the cold glass screen to end the call. I dig the pocket of the jacket I wore yesterday for the piece of paper that I written down him contact number. I punched in the number with a smile on my face, I'm happy and I don't know why.

'Hey!' A breathless yet sexy voice picked up the phone within one ring.

'Hey, this is Aqua. I met you yesterday.' Law student wasn't suppose to be that forgetful but I remind him anyway, just in case.

'How can I forget you? Right, humanities students should have more free time than law student right?'

'I hear that as an insult you know?' I said in a serious tone even I was smiling.'

'No, I don't think so, you are smiling!' I stood up from my bed, cautious, yet trying not to be that obvious that I had my defence up.

'You can see me?' I can hear my own heartbeat thudding lightly against my ribcage. My eyes landed on every corner of the room trying to scan if there was any sign of camera. Was he the one who stole my phone? Was he from the organisation?

'Relax! Look out from your window.' It was unwise to follow what he told me but I follow suit anyway, preparing myself to be shot. 'I just found out yesterday so.... I wasn't trying to stalk you or anything...' I pushed the curtain out of my way as my eyes found my way and locked onto a brown eyes.

The boys dorm was directly in front of the girls' dorm, so we can look directly into the next building with the full glass window. From the first day here, our dorm mistress had told us to close our window and shut the window tight at all times. We must only change our clothes at the public toilet shared by the whole level and not in the room. She knew it was time consuming but it was the only way to protect ourself from those wolf since we would never know what kind of binocular they had bought.

'So... Your room was directly opposite to me?...' I thought the room opposite me were vacant? since he was First Year he must had came here not long ago right...Yesterday I came back home after having dinner with him and changed in my room before going out again. Shit... 'Did you see what you were not suppose to see last night?'

'Erm...yeah I'm so sorry I couldn't do anything to warn you before you started to... I covered my eyes immediately!' Boys, I don't believe he would have the will power to close his eyes. Even if he did, the slits between fingers can still let you see the important parts. Just hope that the law student would give his attention to my other parts other than the tattoo on my back.

'Just forget about yesterday, k? Did you find any clue about the thief?'

'Yeah, quite a lot. I come over to yours to let you see the report?' I turn over to see my room, no, it was not presentable. Bras were hanging on the hanging pegs, underwear lying all around. I could keep those in a minute but the guns and knifes hiding all over the room... I better not bet on it.

I have him a weak smile, 'Do you mind if I get over to you place? Mine is abit...'

'Okay, see you in a while then, bye!' The words he breath out linger in my ears. Friends or Foes? I'll have to find it out myself. I called boss again to inform him about Kris and asked for him information to be sent to me at once.

I slide my phone back into my pocket and shut the curtains tight as my laptop blinked to life with one new mail.

Confidential Government information

Name: Kris Walker

D.O.B: 26 June 1995

Gender: M

Family Members were murdered without having the murderer caught. Charles and Emily Walker.

Walker... Charles Walker. That man that I killed one years ago. So Kris was his son? Was he back for revenge or just pure coincident? He was that guy across the street at that time... Does he still remember me?

I clean my laptop from the mail before I leave the room in a blue sweater and sweatpants with a knife tied safely inside on my thigh, just in case.

It was weekend today so the dorm somehow became mixed, even the security doesn't bother with me entering the boys dorm. He was just chatting on the phone like he was on a vacation rather than he's working. The whole dorm was in a chaos, guys running around with just a boxer, books laying all over the place and hoes rolling all round the place. I shifted myself so that I would not touch those busy couples that were interacting on the steps as I advance further up, until I see the silver plate on the wall stating the fifth floor.

573, this was the room opposite to mine right? I forget to ask him for his room number just now. The door opened just as my finger hovered on the doorbell.

"Hi, your timing was good, I had just finished cleaning." He must have lots of 'prohibited' goods in his room since our dorm allows us to have a room of our own and only do a check once a year.

"Good to hear that, so can I come in now?" He nodded and moved his body so that I could squeeze through the slit. Even though he said he had finished cleaning, the whole room was still in a mess. Maybe it's because there was too much thing stored up in his room, but it was really too much. All that was left was just a walking space right to the bed.

"Kris, don't you think this was too much? Didn't you just come to this school for like two months? Where did all these stuff come from?"

Blood shot up into his cheeks as he tuck his hands into his jeans pocket. "I was prepared to treat this as ny home for the next three year."

"Oh..." It was because I had killed his parents. If I had spared that women, hrs would not have to take it this hard.

A sad grin spreaded on his face. "You wasn't going to ask for the reason?" He settled into the bed and started digging from the pile of paper on his small desk.

"I just hope you will tell me yourself one day. But I guess your situation is almost the same as mine."

"Then we must be fated to be friends!" He smiled and patted on the space beside him. "Even though there's lots of thing in this room, it doesn't mean that it was dirty, I clean them up every week."

" I don't expect a law student to be that free." I took off my shoes and plopped down on his soft bed.

"Stop criticising on every thing I do just because I'm a law student!" Our sight connected and bust out laughing. His laughter rang in my ears, was that a real laugh or a fake one to lure me in?
