I woke up and got changed into my new school uniform that consisted of a black skirt, white shirt and a black blazer with my school logo on it. I brushed my hair and debated whether i should put on any makeup, just because it was my first day and i wanted to leave a good impression. I decided that i was too lazy and just swiped on a bit of lip-gloss. I paced my bag and pinned my hair so it would be out of my face for the most part.

I slipped on my shoes and swung my backpack over my shoulder as i made my way down the stairs when i heard a boyish voice shout,

I slipped on my shoes and swung my backpack over my shoulder as i made my way down the stairs when i heard a boyish voice shout,

"Sorry mum, but i gotta run, me and my mates have a project to finish up so I'm gonna head early"

I walked downstairs just in time to see the front door shut behind a tall blond boy wearing the same uniform as me (not a skirt, he is wearing pants, just to clarify haha). At the same time, a plate of breakfast was shoved into my hands by an enthusiastic Terri Irwin.

"Thank you Miss Irwin," I made sure to say.

"Oh no dear, while you are living in my house, you must call me Terri," she gushed.

A sleepy Bindi chose to waltz down the stairs in her pj's and a plate of food was also pushed into her hands.

"Good morning mum," she rubbed her eyes tiredly, "Oh Jiah you look pretty, ready for your first day of school.

"Sort of, I'm a bit nervous though."

"Oh its ok honey, you'll fit right in. Robert can show you the ropes," Terri butted in joyfully.

"Where is Robert anyway mum?" Bindi asked.

"Ugh that silly kid was procrastinating on his project and headed up early before he had to give it in," Terri exclaimed," Jiah dear today Bindi will show you the way to the highschool but eventually you will have to go by yourself or more preferably walk with Robert."

I nodded and finished up my breakfast as Bindi quickly changed. We left the zoo and walked down a couple of blocks before turning right and arriving at the school. It was a huge brick building and children chattered excitedly as they caught up with their friends. Bindi showed me the way to the school office where she told me to proceed by myself. I was greeted by the kind lady at the front desk who happily gave me my schedule and locker number. I told her that i didn't know my way around the school so i wasn't sure which class i had to go to and she called down the prefect of my class to help me around. I took a seat and played on my phone for awhile before the door opened and in walked a very handsome tall boy that i suppose would be my tour guide. My heart lurched a little. Oof he's so cute. They don't make boys like that in Sydney.

"Hi my name is James, and i'm gonna show you around."
