Chapter 2: A Talk with Mom

TIME: 2:30PM
DATE: (still)JULY 5TH

     Alex made it home, disheveled. His heart was racing 100mph. Did they like him? Or was that just a one sided stare. Did time stop for them as well? Mayb- He didnt get a chance to finish his train of thought as his mom burst through the door.
     "IM HOME EARLY!" He got startled as he fell to the ground panting, his mom on the other hand laughed her ass off. "I'm sorry sweety, did I scare you?" He blushed a soft pink and his mom noticed, only making her laugh more.
     "S-shut up, it's not funny."
      "You bet your ass it's funny! But I digress, what's wrong? You're usually not so jumpy."
     He stood up as his mother finished her sentence, dusting himself off. "I'm fine, just got back from the strip mall nearby and... had an incident."
     His mothers eyes lit up, and gasped softly, "Awe sweety, you found someone."
     His face went a deep red color as he got embarrassed, "S-shut up!"
     His mother was a bit shocked,"Woah there, I was just playing around," she sat at the dining room table, "Come here son, tell me what happened."
     He sighed as he sat across the table from his mother, his mother taking his hands into hers, "Mom I don't-"
     "No, you're going to talk to me, tell me what's wrong and what's on your mind." He sighed again, knowing that when his mom gets this way it's best for him to just talk and tell her the truth. He took a deep breathe and began to tell her what had happened at the strip mall. When he finished she had a soft smile, "Oh honey, I'm happy you almost found someone, but how come you never told me?"
     "Told you.. about what?"
     "About being gay swee-"
     He cut her off as he got up, "Hey, uhhh, I'm going to go shower, text me if you need something." He quickly went up to his room, closing his door and locking it.
     His mom sighed with a smile on her face, shake her head a bit, "He's never gonna change is he?" She then got up and started baking her usual treats for the night.
