"Layla! Layla wake up!" I shook my sister roughly. "H-huh?"
"Layla, get the suitcase from mom's room and go to the garage."
Luckily there was a secret way to get to the garage then to take the regular stair way and going through the garage door. "W-why?" She asked rubbing her eyes. "No time to explain! Now get up and go!"
* BANG *
Layla snapped. "What was that!?" She yelled and ran over to the stairway. I was right behind her to see the most horrifying thing I'd every seen.
"Nooo!!" I heard my mother scream as she was stabbed in the heart. "Momm-" Layla screamed. Getting attention drab to us. I covered her mouth and pulled her back so the crazy man I called my father wouldn't see us.
"Ah, there they are!" Dad said as he started climbing up the stairs. Layla was about to cry when I dragged her into my room.
"Listen to me. Your going to do exactly as I say. Do you understand me?"
She nodded.
"We don't have much time. Go into mommy's room and get the suitcase off her bed as quietly as you can. Then sneak through our secret way and go to the garage."
"I'm comin kids. Come to pa pa!" Dad hollered as her tripped down the stairs.
"MOMMY-" I covered her mouth.
"DO YOU WANT TO DIE!!!" I whispered shouted.
Tears where scrolling down our cheeks as Layla shook her head no.
"Then stop screaming and listen to me! Drag the suit case down stairs to our big red wagon and put it on the bottom shelf. Then, wait outside for me ok?"
Layla shook her head.
"Now go!"
Layla ran as fast as her little legs could take her. She was of to our secret way to the gargage. I quickly ran into moms room to pick up Leo quietly.
"I'm coming to get you!" I froze in my tracks. I closed my eyes, waiting for my dad to pop in.
"Gotcha? I know your in here somewhere?"
I opened my eyes to see he wasn't in here. He was in my room. I slowly creeped to the back door, and tip toed down the stairs. There where so much stuff down there!!! Pots and pans and even a mop. I tried to maneuver through the traps, put it was harder then it looks. Then, my clumsy self trips on a pot and all you heard was
* CLING *
* CLANG *
* CRASH *
"Aha!" He said as he opened the back door. Thank god I was already in the basement. I locked the door and slammed it shut. It was dark, I couldn't see anything.
I tried to find Layla.
"Layla! Layla its me!" Then I heard sobbing from the corner. "L-Layla?"
Next thing you new, I fell inside something. And it was the wagon. Luckily, the suitcase was in there to break my fall and Leo was still happily dreaming.
"C-carry!" Layla chippers as she ran up and hugged me.
"Sh! We don't have time because-"
* BANG *
"I know your in there!"
Layla started to cry.
"Get in the wagon and hold baby Leo."
Layla hopped in and I gave her Leo.
"What about-?"
* BANG *
Layla scream loud but I quickly covered her mouth.
"Shut up!" I screamed at here as I worked my why through the dark, trying to find the cellar door. Once I found it, I quickly grab the handle of the wagon and drag it up the steps, trying to push the cellar door open.
"Carry, I'm scared. Are we going to be oka-"
"Layla, i love you, but we are in a lid and death situation right now and I really want to live so could you please!"
After that, it was silence. Layla was quiet, the door wasn't banging anymore, Leo was peacefully sleeping, and I stopped pulling the wagon. It was dead quite when...
* BANG *
The garage door opens. But nobody was there. Layla is now screaming for my mom. I push as hard as I can, letting the handle go. Pushing and kicking and pushing and kicking for this door to fly open.
"Come on you stupid door!!!!"
I screamed in frustration. I gave the door on last good kick when.
"GET OFF OF ME YOU CRAZY MAN!" Layla screamed and cried as my father finally caught us. Now Leo was wide awake. Crying. To much chaos as I kicked the cellar door open. Finally? But it's raining. Oh well, it's better then staying with this lunatic.
I grabbed the handle a d with all my might, pulled it up the stairs to the cold outside world. As we finally got to the top, I grabbed the handle and started pulling. Running for our life's. The wagon was heavy but it was okay. I still pulled with all of my might down the street. As the psycho path followed close behind.
"Get back here!!!"
He called but I didn't stop. Nothing on my feet or over my head. Just me in my soaked pajamas and no shoes or slippers. Running for my life. Tears flowing down my eyes. When we finally get the hill, I give it on good push before hopping in and enjoying the ride. Look back sticking my tongue out and screaming "can't catch us" Happy that where safe.
