Silence.
There was a complete silence after the howls. Not even the birds dared to make a move. Speakings of the birds, where are they anyways? I scared them off?
Well, to be fair, I did tell everyone to stay silent. Not that I thought they'd actually listen. They were all just looking from me to the others, glancing here and there.
I could feel some of their emotions. Confusion was clearly evident and mutual. I couldn't blame them because I, myself, was confused. But I felt this strong connection between two of them. Harris and Shiza. They were already staring at each other. Wait.
I knew it. Mates.
I wanted to smirk but a big black wolf with an awkwardly raised corner of her mouth was definitely not what they needed right now.
"Sooo..."
Of course Hanzala would be the first one to break the ice.
"... What now?"
"Now we train." Farah answered.
Train? Matlab Kung fu type?
The awkward silence settled once again but thankfully Shiza decided to break it this time. Thank God she was back from her lovestruck state.
"Come on you guys. We'll bring you all clothes. You guys can change and then we'll discuss what's next. Ok?" She said.
Everyone looked at me. Why are they looking at me? Oh right.
"Sounds like a plan." I said through the link. Shiza and Eisha left to bring clothes.
This made me wonder though. About alot of things. Will everyone always ask me before doing something? That'll be so annoying. And are we always going to be practically naked after transforming into our wolves and back? I mean, it did make sense because clothes aren't flexible enough. But its so much work and embarrassment. Gosh.
-----------------
We were all now settled in the meeting room. I figured everyone one deserved time to process all of this, so I'll try to make this quick. They were looking at me to began anyways.
I'm a 16 years old, people. Consult the adults.
Despite my annoyance, I decided to speak and address this very issue. So I took a deep breath.
"So, first of all. Are you guys going to ask my approval before everything you do?" I asked.
They were quiet.
I tried to meet the eyes of Hassan. The guy clearly hated me. He had to have something to say against this.
But he avoided my gaze. Great.
"Guys even I am smart enough to know, that this is not how this works. We are a pack. That means a family, but you are all still independent people with independent thinking. And you all still have the right to make your own decisions. So, please go back to treating me like a normal person." I said.
I looked at the adults. Weren't they suppose to make these things clear? They must know this right?
They were lightly smiling at each other. Why are they smiling and not helping me?
Kia museebat hai yaar.
"But isn't Alpha the superior one?" Asked one of the girls.
I looked at Hanzala and Eisha for support. And then at Moeez, Moeed. They were looking at me, waiting for my answer. As if they were testing me.
