Bella's POV.
"Edward - "
"We're leaving. We're all leaving!" He said to me, barely containing his anger. Unlike her.
"What do you mean? Edward?!"
"We're all leaving and never coming back. It'll be like we never existed."
"What about Alice?"
"She's leaving too. We all are. We're never coming back."
"What did you do!? She would never leave without saying goodbye!" He seethed at that comment.
"She is leaving with the rest of us, you pathetic little human!" He yelled at me. "You think we liked you?! You were just entertainment." He spat and threw me across the wood to the tree about fifty feet away. He threw me like I was nothing. I started coughing and couldn't stop. Blood started spitting out of my mouth and I choked, the next thing I knew, everything was black.
~~~
Beep. Beep. Beep.
Huh? The fuck is that?'
"Bella?!" The desperate voice of my mum rang through my ears. I opened my eyes and closed them due to the bright light. I slowly opened them again while I adjusted to the light.
"Mum?" I asked stupidly. Mum smiled and leaned over to help me to sit up in the hospital bed. I saw Alice there sleeping on the sofa. Edward was stood at the door watching Alice carefully. I sighed and then looked back to Alice. I knew she wasn't asleep. I smiled slightly and I looked at Edward cautiously. I didn't want to lose my best friend. Although, I knew there was something else. Alice knew something. That's why Edward was here. To make sure nothing happened. It's a good thing he can't read my mind. Edward snapped his gaze to Alice and stormed out. Alice didn't move. I smiled. She looked adorable laid there. Wait. Is it okay for me to think that?
"Bella - " I knew what she was was going to say so I stopped her and waited a few more minutes glancing at Alice waiting for a sign. She lifted her thumb briefly and I relaxed.
"Sorry mum, what were you going to say?"
"She never leaves your side. Your father's in the cafeteria."
"Alice?"
"She hasn't left your side, Bella. She sits by your bed and holds your hand when me and your father have to go home to sleep. She moved when she notices us come in only to move back when the nurses say visiting time's over. I'm just glad she's finally asleep."
"What do you mean?"
"She hasn't slept. She might've slept little but I bet she's exhausted."
"Oh Alice," I whispered gently. "Can you go get dad? I need to apologise."
"Of course. We'll talk about you moving to phoenix later."
"I wanna stay in Forks."
"We'll talk about it later honey," Mum said and then left.
"Alice," I spoke. She looked up at me and ran over to me. Nearly hugging me but she stopped herself. I sat up slowly and pulled her into me. I leant my head on her shoulder. Alice always smelled so good. "What happened?"
"What's the last thing you remember?"
"Edward threw me into a tree about fifty feet away from where I was last standing."
"I had a vision of what happened and tried to get there as soon as I could to stop it but I was too late. I stopped him from finishing you off though."
