In Her Arms.

Chapter Four.

Bella's POV

I woke up to the sensation of perfectly cold lips kissing up my shoulder, up my neck, to my ear. I smiled and Alice giggled in my ear causing my breath to hitch.

"You okay there Bellsie?"

"Bellsie?"

"Yeah."

"I'm fine Ali." I replied and she giggled at the nickname.

"Ali?"

"Yeah. My Ali." Grinning I kissed her cheek and she just shook her head at me mumbling something. Probably something mildly insulting.

"Bells?" I heard Charlie call out as he popped his head around the corner. I smiled at him and he smiled back. Renee walked in behind him and smiled at me and Alice. Alice smiled softly and left the room. She walked out and I saw her take a large silver flask from Carlisle. I smiled and then turned to face Mum and Charlie.

"So Alice huh?" Renee smirked and I groaned and shook my head while she started cackling, enjoying my misery. Charlie was mostly silent through this exchange.

"I like Alice. She's a better for you than Edward." Charlie chimed in and Renee smiled victoriously.

"See Bella. Even Charlie knows. You can't deny it now." I groaned again and Renee laughed and t between the two of them I got relentless teasing for hours about me and Alice becoming a thing. Eventually I zoned them out and laid down, imaging Alice laid next to me, tucked into my body where I could protect her from the cruel reality of the Earth.

I don't know how long it was when I fell asleep or how long I was asleep for but all I knew was that I didn't have to imagine it, Alice's body was curled into mine keeping my cold.

I groaned again, but this time in pain. I was hot and sweaty and had a headache and felt nauseated. Alice started rubbing my back and cooling me down with herow body temperature. I smiled and squeezed her tighter to me and went back to sleep.
