Natalie had a rough life. Her father had left her and her twin brother at a young age, making their mom having to always work so she could provide for them. But even then it was always barely enough to get by. At the age of 15, Natalie had enough of living the way they did so she left without a trace. She managed to make it to Los Angeles where she enrolled herself into school. She became quick friends with Leticia Ortiz and once she found out about Natalie's living conditions, her family quickly took her in as if she was one of their own. When she turned 16, she caught the attention of the boy who lived down the street and that's when her better life began.
