'Do you wish to continue optimistic lord?' the voice over the overcom said.  Ever since I was but a child of five I've wanted to live forever and I finally have what I want at my finger tips. All I had to do was push the button right in front of me, but I am gripped by hesitation. Do this one simple thing after the countless sacrifice of friends and family to get this far. I don't know if I'll ever get to see them again if it be because of no afterlife or the imortality that I will be granted. The choice was simple I guess cut the cord and hurl myself out the window or use the device in front of me. ' may I have a bit of time before I decide?' I ask
'you have ten minutes untill this reality collapses use this time cautiously, optimistic lord.' I guess that's fair ten minutes to decide between eternal life or dealing with the guilt of letting all of them die for nothing. The veiw of this little plain of judgement was rather breath taking, with it still being devoured since it's time had came. This sight did strengthen my resolve a bit because I would have the chance to stop this all from happening to the actual mortal plain. I guess I would only have to home I have the chance to reverse this decision.'Five minutes remaining.' I moved back to the monitor and opened the small glass case containing the dream engines power source. I swing as hard as I can with the small fragile gem in my had breaking it against the monitor screen. The only thing I can regret at that moment was that I was alone once more in my life.
