Dear Diary,

So, uh... I don't really know what to put here. My therapist suggested this to me, after the last case. God, that was disturbing. We never found out why that kid went so far as to eat his parents... I'm starting to see why my parents told me not to go into Law Enforcement now.

Anyways, I guess I should write down a bit about myself. Well, my name's Calvin Morris, and I'm a detective, so I'm commonly called Detective Morris at work. I'm 38 years old, and this is my ninth year as a detective. It's been like... 6 months, maybe, since the case I mentioned earlier. I've finally recovered a bit, and have accepted a new case that's been terrorizing my town for awhile now.

The case is about a murder, who everyone, including those at the office, have been calling "The Oleander Killer" because of the method. All the victims are found with nerium oleander flowers shoved down the throat and with missing eyes. Another odd thing is that in the surrounding area of the crime scenes, the same quote is always carved into something, whether it be a tree, floor, ceiling, and the body once in a while. The quote is "Isn't it beautiful?". Yeah, a bit eerie, huh? Anyways, about 24 people have died at the hands of this criminal. I normally only investigate the crime scenes then that's it, but this case intrigues me quite a bit, so I think I'll be doing more than I'm legally allowed to.

I'm gonna try and arrest this bitch.

There is one problem, though; we know nothing about the killer. And when I say nothing, I mean nothing. Not age, not gender, not name, not even handwriting. The quote is never written in the same handwriting, so we think that whoever it is knows how to forge handwriting. Asides from that, though, we have literally no clues. So this might turn out to be more difficult than I thought. But I won't back down. Not that easily. I like to think that I'm a very stubborn person, you see.

Anyways, work starts soon, and I don't really wanna write in here during work. I'll try and write my next entry later in the day next time so I can spend more time on it. But yeah, I guess that's it for today.

Sincerely,
Calvin
