   Chekov returned to the bridge. "Engines are back online sir," said Lt Sulu. "Ensign Chekov change us to warp 9," said Picard. "Sir, if I may warp 9, is only to be used if we are in danger." said Ana. "Did you memorize the Starfleet handbook?" asked Kirk. "Almost all of it sir." said Ana. "Why am I not surprised?" Lieutenants Data, Laforge, please go see what's going on in sickbay the power is out." Kirk ordered. "Alright, Spock you have the bridge, I will be in my ready room," said Kirk. Picard followed. "Ensign Antoinette, can you come here for a minute?" asked Lt Uhura. Ana got up from the helm. "What's wrong?" asked Ana. "We are receiving a distress signal from what's supposed to be a Federation Starfleet ship, but I don't think it is, can you alert the captains?" asked Lt Uhura. Ana went into Kirks' ready room. "Captain we are receiving a distress signal from a Federation starship, but we don't think it is sir." stated Ana.

   "I don't think we can answer a distress signal in our ship's condition." said Kirk. Picard came in. "See if Uhura can message another federation ship to help," suggested Picard. "Lt Uhura said we are the only ship in distance," stated Ana. "Get ensign Chekov," Picard ordered. Ana went and got Chekov, "Ensign do you think we can answer a distress call then make it to the space station?" asked Picard. "We should captain," said Chekov. "Alright, Spock you have the con, Picard, Riker and myself are going to figure out what the heck is going on in Engineering." said Kirk. They walked out of the ready room.

   "Where is Kirk?" Scotty asked as he walked on the bridge. "Scotty over here, what's wrong?" Kirk asked, " Dammit Jim, are you crazy, answering a distress signal in our ship's condition." Scotty asked. "Come down to Engineering with us, we will see if we can fix it." Kirk said. Scotty and a few others boarded the turbo lift. "Capitaine (captain), Are you sure this is a good idea, we don't even know if this is a Federation starship and it's coming from the neutral zone." said Ana, anger in her voice. "Don't worry cupcake." said Kirk as boarded the turbolift with the others. Ana went and sat at the helm, she was not happy. "Lt Uhura where is the Distress call coming from?" asked Wesley. "The neutral zone." Uhura said a bit worried. "That's Romulan territory." Said Chekov. " What in the world would a Starfleet ship being doing out there?" Asked Spock. "That's against the federation rules." said Ana. "Ensign Antoinette, change us to yellow alert." ordered Spock.

  Wesley turned around and faced Chekov. "Pavel just out of curiosity what makes Ana attractive to you?" He asked. "Wait what do you mean, I don't have an interest in her." Chekov lied. "Dude it's obvious, come on." Wesley replied. "Well she Is is kind, smart and really pretty." Chekov stated. "She's not pretty, she's hot, how old is Ana anyway?" Wesley asked. "She is nineteen a year younger than me," Chekov replied. "You should ask her out already!" Wesley suggested. "I will, what do like about Jessica?" Chekov asked. "Well she is really sweet and caring and she just seems like a good person to be with." He stated. Lt. Pilcher interrupted. "If I may, this ship has ship has no drama or gossip so you too should ask your girlfriends out so something finally interesting will happen." She stated. "Have you been listening to our conversation the entire time?" Chekov asked. "Maybe." Lt Pilcher said as she turned back to the helm. Wesley and Chekov looked at each other in confusion.

   "Dr. Crusher can I ask you something, is Wesley seeing anyone?" Jessica asked. "Not that I know of." Dr. Crusher Stated. McCoy walked in and entered the conversation. "What is it with the ensigns and dating while they are on the Enterprise, I mean come on focus on your job and not on someone else. Although Kirk and I do place bets on the Ensigns to see who does what first." McCoy explained. "On second thought I take back my question," Jessica stated. "Well I think some Ensigns do focus more on Starfleet than others, for example, Ensign Chekov and Ben they don't really pay that much attention to girls anyway it more on Starfleet stuff." Dr. Crusher added. Jessica and McCoy let out a small laugh. "Chekov likes Ana he just doesn't really show it, nor has he asked her out yet," McCoy stated. Dr. Crusher gave him a look as if to say 'how do you know that'. "He can't keep his eyes off of her on the bridge," He stated.

   "Ana has a crush on him." Jessica said letting Ana's secret slip. "I knew it." McCoy said, "Don't you have anything better to do than bother us?" Dr. Crusher asked. "No." McCoy replied. Jessica rolled her eyes. One of the nurses informed them that the Enterprise was going on a rescue mission. "I can't believe in the ship's condition they decided to go on and rescue mission." Stated. Dr. Crusher. "Well now I have something better to do, " McCoy said as he left. Jessica was not quite sure what to say. "How far are we away from the starship? " Spock asked. "We are being hailed, " said Ensign Chekov. "On screen," ordered Spock. "On screen, " said, Ana, as she transmitted it on screen. "This is Commander Spock of the U.S.S. Enterprise." he stated. A Romulan came into view.

   "You stupid humans, you fell for a fake distress signal." he said. Everyone on the bridge looked confused. "You will surrender your ship and your crew to me within 10 minutes, if not I will fire at your ship." said the Romulan as he turned off the communication. "Oh my." Sulu said. Spock was not concerned. "Chekov shields up, and red alert, Sulu be ready to warp out on my command, fire at will, am I clear?" said Spock. "Yes sir," they said. "Shields up." said Ensign Chekov. "We are now at red alert." said Ana. "Phasers and torpedoes in place." Said Lt. Pilcher. The Romulan ship several shots at the Enterprise. "Damage report." ordered Spock. "Damage on decks 1 through 16 " . said Chekov. "Shields are at 75 percent and failing," said Lt Sulu. "Return fire!" ordered Spock. The Enterprise and the Romulan ship fired at each other for a few minutes. "Shields at 15 percent and failing." Said Ensign Chekov. Spock's communicator went off, "Spock have the crew abandoned ship." Kirk ordered. Spock turned on his communicator to message the whole ship. "This is Commander Spock, I have been ordered by the captain to abandon the ship." said Spock as he turned off the communicator. The alarm went off to signal the crew to abandon ship.

   It was a mess trying to evacuate sickbay. "Dr. all patents have been evacuated it's just the crew left," Stated Jessica. McCoy ran over toward Dr. Crusher and Jessica The ship was fired at so they all lost their balance. "You two need to leave now where is Caroline, Chapel, and Pulaski?" Asked McCoy. "They left already." Dr. Crusher stated. Jessica and the doctors got into there escape pods which were landing on a planet just below them. Now the Entire crew had evacuated, The Enterprise, a home and an important place for many people were now shot down hurdling to down to the planet it eventually crashed. A ship that was once powerful was no more.
