Charlotte looked up at Keith returning the smile hearing the complement as she grabbed his finger then began to walk to the little fortess while  she replied with. "My name's Charlotte but I'm gonna find my mommy and daddy they went into the city but they are really tough so they must be okay." Keith allowed the small girl named Charlotte to take him wherever she pleased, listening in as she spoke. His eyes widened, which quickly turned into a concerned frown. "How long  have your mom and dad been gone?" He asked with slight hesitation. Sure she had only been a kid and practically anything that was said could do past her and be fixed without much problem, but those words that she said with so much hope caused his heart to ache. "When the monster ate Mrs. Barkley and that was a long time ago." The little girl replied once she reached the tree house she let go of Keith's finger to climb up, making it inside of tree house she put the backpack and began to take out the supplies. Keith frowned, his worst fears for the little girl coming true. Her parents weren't coming back if they were gone this long, but of course he wouldn't tell her that. He watched her go up, unsure if it was even safe for him to go up, but went up anyway. "I see, I'm sure they will be back soon. Trips take a long time." The girl nodded as she replied with. "I can do it though I'm tough like my cousins!" Charlotte smiled as she had a bottle of water, a grainola bar, and a  small bag of beef jerky for Keith. "But I never went to the city."  The girl said, taking out a water bottle for herself and tried to open but failed. This was her first time meeting a human in so long sure she's seen some but they were either about to turn or had a circle in their head.

Matthew Holt was alone. Well and truly alone. It sucked, but he had plans to find his family again. Plans that were in motion now. He finally finished  wiring and with the power of science  and power banks, he had made a laptop functional again. Now just to hack a tracking program to find his parents and his sister. Pff. Not like anyone  would be maintaining the website anymore anyways. Piece of cake. Until it wasn't. The wires weren't stable enough and with a loud crackle one of the wires sparked and the screen went black.. Great. Now he'd have to get a replacement. Matt pulled up his hood on the hoodie he wore, and checked his outfit and weapons. He had black skinny jeans and black sneakers too. A bandanna covering the lower half of his face along with some knee and elbow pads. Along with fingerless black gloves, his extendable bo staff on his belt, pistols in holsters and a backpack. He sighed before leaving the massive loft he now called home (for now) and locking the massive  metal doors. The fawn haired male started running until getting to a seemingly abandoned neighbourhood of suburban houses. He saw blood and a not so fresh corpse... Survivors had  been here. Keith wasn't exactly hungry and didn't want to bother the little girl and her food supplies. He continued to frown as if he was deep in thought, wondering  how she could be so happy, yet he was thrilled that she was and kept  looking on the positive side. "Me either." He replied. Keith never dared to go into the city due to those being one of the most populated areas for the undead. Matt wandered through the streets quietly, killing the occasional walker. This place was kind of a ghost town but then he heard faint voices, like a young girl and the other a boy or man. He glanced around spotting  a house  and a rather big yard with a massive tree at the end. It was too far down the street to see anything for sure but he was certain he'd seen movement. He decided to go check it out, gun at the ready just in case things went sideways.
