You know how in shitty movies for teens whenever the main character faints they wake up to a teacher and their friends surrounding them. That didn't happen I woke up to nurses and doctors asking my name and age I complied saying I was jade Matthews and I was 16. You may expect me to get sent to the nurse's office but here there was no nurses office. I was simply told I have to go to class I struggled to my feet everything feeling like jelly or a weird slime I felt odd and I looked at my arms to see a needle spot the nurses promptly left when they saw I noticed scared I would ask them what they injected me with. I wasn't told what was wrong or what happened to me I barely even remember what happened I checked my pills to see if this was a side effect but it wasn't it could've been the stress but I don't know. I look back to my timetable I have art room 304. I walk through the school it is very cold like what my home was like stone walls and tiles these tiles were broken and shattered.
I get to my class the door has colourful paints on it mixed with bits of wood ripped off and a barred window to see in. I walked in and the teacher looks at me she snapped towards me her eyes like darts looking into my soul "what time do you call this" she said in a strict high voice my face felt warm and fuzzy I stammer "I blacked out on my way here im sorry" my voice croaky she sighs and puts her long pointy nails to her head "bloody hell, go take a seat. NOW!" I quickly to the nearest seat and look at the chalkboard at my old school they used electronic boards but I guess there isn't enough funding for electronic ones. A girl with pale skin and silver hair sat next to me her clothes looked homemade with her rip jeans looking done by her and her outfit looking painted on she whispers to me " are you new I bet you are you should stay with me you have a cuff like me and my "friends" and that means that no one will really like you" as she said these words I noticed that everyone in class had given me funny looks when I came in and still were I wasn't really bothered by it at first but learning what this girl had said made me aware of it even more and I got a little annoyed. I turn to her "im jade Matthews, what's up with everyone here they all seem a bit odd" I say as to not offend her "well most people are here because of crime or mental illnesses we can't go to jail because we won't get and education but we can't stay in society because we are dangerous to ourselves and others so they send us here well most of us. Kids with bracelets like me, you and a few others have committed crimes such as assault murder etc im Melanie by the way but call me Mel" Mel was nice but something about her just seemed very fake and put on like she was hiding a lot she probably had to there are cameras everywhere and they aren't just ones that watch you but they can hear you "i haven't committed a crime I found out my family lied to me for years about who they were and the rest is a blur all I remember is waking up here" as I said this I realized I had no idea how I got here or even what I did.
