Dance Dance (With Me) Part 1

Please tell me at least one of you knows what song and group that title is referencing or else I might quit

For @JtheRapper , 'Hi, I was curious if you could do a Jungkook one-shot that Y/N is a dance major at the college and she ends up dancing with Jungkook because for a project, the college partnered with BigHit to have professional dancers dance with a student.'

I hope you're okay with the headcanon format, I'm not having a bunch of inspiration to write full coherent sentences so I'm just gonna do headcanons for this one. <3 thank you for requesting my love!!

💜 - You'd honestly been panicked beyond belief when your professor had announced the project

💜 - You were in the running to be partnered with trainees or debuted idols from BigHit Entertainment for a dance project

💜 - While you hoped that you'd get partnered with a debuted idol you also hoped that you'd get a trainee because the idea of messing up in front of a member of BTS or TXT was absolutely mortifying

💜 - You were confident in your abilities but you'd never be that confident okay

💜 - Finally the time came to get assigned your partners, your professor passing around a hat with names inside to each student

💜 - The first student that drew screamed louder than you thought humanly possible

💜 - "SOOBIN!!" He looked thrilled with his choice, excitedly packing his things and dashing out of the room

💜 - You were one of the first few to draw, pulling out a name and hesitating, closing your eyes quickly to will yourself to stay calm

💜 - You peered down at the little slip of paper and unfolded it, eyes widening as you read the name

💜 - Your friend elbowed you in the rib to try and get you to show him

💜 - "Who'd you get?! Tell me!"

💜 - "Jungkook. The Jeon Jungkook is gonna be my dance partner."

💜 - Fun times panicking for like three weeks

💜 - Until the day that you got to mEET them

💜 - You literally walked into class and all the trainees and idols were just like

💜 - The best and? worst part was that you and one single other person were there so it was really awkward but also like you were in the same room, feet away from the members of bts and txt and tens of trainees??

💜 - They were each sitting separately next to their assigned student's desks and you slowly made your way to your desk that Jeon Jungkook was just like casually sitting next to

💜 - He smiled at you and you genuinely thought that your brain was malfunctioning

💜 - "You're Y/N?"

💜 - Heck

💜 - Like you've heard his voice and you've even been to concerts of their before but hearing him speaking directly to you from three feet away was literally the most enchanting thing you've ever heard do you hEaR mE?

💜 - "Yeah, that's me."

💜 - You honestly couldn't like 

💜 - Talk?

💜 - Your mouth said no speak

💜 - You were excused to one of the practice rooms to start practicing your routine

💜 - Except first you had to come up with a routine

💜 - You both ended up agreeing on Euphoria, mostly because it was his solo song and he already had a routine, but also because he said that it'd work really well with a pair 'like the two of us'

💜 - His actual words ^^

💜 - You'd danced to BTS songs before and all but like in front of literally an entire member of said group was tErRiFyInG

💜 - He taught you the steps a few at a time and built them up so that within a few hours, you knew half of the song

💜 - But it wasn't perfected and you needed more time to practice before moving on

💜 - This led to maybe the crowning achievement in your life

💜 - He literally goes 'here, put your number into my phone and you can come over and practice in one of our rooms, we'll make a day of it. I'll make Jin bring us lunch.'

💜 - And with that he was on his way

💜 - You were left with The Jeon Jungkook's phone number and a full day with him to think about
