"You have 15 minutes before you have to start to get ready for the dödsstrid, sir."

Zia nodded, turned around and left, closing the door behind him. Sighing, I run my hand through my curls and continued to read documents. My thoughts ran to what Jamie said about being my valkyrie and now I'm thinking should I start looking into claiming someone. As soon as those ideas came into my head, I got rid of them, fast. Never in my life have I ever met a female, who was into me for me and not for my status, money, looks etc.
I have only ever dated one girl and that was when I was thirteen. Even that ended in disaster. Her name was Lily and all she was obsessed with was that I was born into Odin's Riders. I remember vividly, that she even asked me about becoming my valkyrie and so in turn I asked her, why would she want to be mine. Her answer was for money and status. To also gloat to her friends that she was The Queen of the baddest biker club in all of Sweden and parts of Europe. I broke up with her right on the spot.

Even though I was only thirteen, I knew the carefullness and wariness that needed to be used when it came to choosing a valkyrie. Though I wouldn't be taking over until I was seventeen, I was receiving love notes and requests for girls to be mine.
I declined all, because I knew the real reasons they were asking me that.
