Chaton

It was decided, they would go home and get their things since it was more a sleepover than anything, just four friends hanging out. Somehow, Adrien's mom managed to convince his dad he could go and live like a kid.

Marinette honestly did love how thoughtful his mother was, hopefully one day she could meet her and actually have the chance to chat with her. Whenever Adrien needs someone for a second he texts him mom and he seems to feel better, man wouldn't that be great. To have a mom you can text and talk to about girly things. Her father was amazing too but a mother, a real mother that loved her would be amazing. Not that she ever forgot her mom but what was there to remember? She hadn't been there, she had been gone for so long the last image of her Marinette might've remembered on her own was looking at her when she was actually gone. She was five and her mom was in her late 20's, she had a brain tumor that kept coming back and she just died after giving up hope.

Sad story, but she had no reason to ever talk about the subject. Everyone just seemed to figure why her mom had been absent from her life and don't ask.

Sometimes she was just dying to tell anyone and others she just wanted to shut herself off.

She closed her eyes and took in a slow and deep breath, life happened and that's how she had been left. In shambles. But still a functioning human being.

Suddenly she was home, grabbing her things and lounging hopelessly on her bed as she smiled at the ceiling. She had found information on chat, he had a very top secret crush other than her ladybug form. He even dared to say he may have found love elsewhere and it seemed to have been cruel timing too, she had just felt so lost when he admitted it to her. Like, who was she? What is she now? Who would love her now?

Why couldn't we like each other at the same time.

Even if she did admit her feelings it would do nothing for her, its not like they could have romantic picnics of roof tops with fancy food and candles as superheros. Plus, he and she would reveal themselves unintentionally.

But, knowing who he is means he can't run away with the miraculous and if he had managed to loose it again then she would help him find it...?

One of her only friend to really know her had given up the miracle box. She would talk to him indirectly about her life and ask for advice on "hypothetical" situations, he knew her better than her own father.

But that's ok, just fine. She never felt comfortable confronting her father about drama or really anything that may have any trouble involved. All he knows is she loves to draw, loves fabrics, and her absolute favorite color was purple. He hadn't walked into her room in a while, obviously, he still thinks she is in love with purple. She changed colors when she turned 8 but that's ok, let him live in la-la land.

Marinette walked out the door with a bug slung over her shoulder packed with plenty of necessities after leaving a note for her dad on the table.

Going to Alya's for some chick time, call me if you need me and text me goodnight!! I love you dad

Marinette

She walked and took back streets to walk to Alya's house the long way around the city. Tikki kept to herself as she hid inside the little purse and slept her hours away to the gentle sway of the walking. Marinette had gotten there well after the others, walking right up the steps and knocking on the apartment door on the third floor.
