"Hey Reese?"
I turn my head to face Madi, Clarke's daughter.
"Yes, Madi?"
"Can we please go pick berries today? I already checked, and they're all ripe and Clarke said we can but I had to ask you too-" Madi gets cut off by Taylor, my daughter, who came running up to them shouting, "Madi, mom, you won't believe what I found!" She was carrying a small bird who had looked to be injured. "I cleaned the wound with some water, but I was wondering if you could make sure the little birdie survived."
I nodded, a smile on my face. "Of course. And if Clarke said yes to the berries, I see no reason why we cannot go." Madi and Taylor's faces light up. "Can we also hear another story about Aunt Octavia?" Taylor asked me with her clear, blue eyes looking up at me. She was only 5, but had a way of wrapping people around her finger, getting them to do what she asks.
"But this is the third time this week, you already know all the stories, Little Bird." Me and Clarke came up with that nickname after Taylor almost stepped on a bird, but caught herself and decided to make it her duty to protect and care for it. It died a few months back, but that doesn't stop her from helping other injured animals.
"Yeah, and? She's badass." Madi replied. I just shake my head, knowing there's nothing I can do to change their minds. They've always found the stories of Octavia the most fascinating, more specifically, the ones of her fighting.
"Fine." I say and they both squeal and start jumping around. "But on one condition." They both turn to look at me with curious eyes. "You two will paint and braid my hair." I smile and give them both a little wink before they nod and start running to the rover.

"Does the ship carry hydrazine?" Raven is busy typing and clicking, clearly too caught up to care that I was pacing around the control room of Elegius III.
"Jackpot." She says. I turn my head, seeing a bunch of codes and then one word that could bring us back home. Hydrazine. Honestly, I couldn't have been happier to see the word.
I turn to smile at Echo and pull her in for a kiss.

"I'm just saying, Skairipa's a beast!" Madi exclaims in Trig. "English, Madi." Clarke scolds her. "Of course she'd win the conclave." Taylor added as I was busy braiding her hair.
Clarke looked down at Lincoln's book, a drawing of Octavia opened. "Don't worry. She'll get them out of that bunker." Madi says to Clarke and I give her a reassuring smile. "I know she will." Clarke said.
Clarke turns the page. The next drawing was a drawing of The 100 busy in the camp. "I'm sorry they left without you guys." Taylor looks to me and Clarke. "Well, I'm not because if we were with them, we never would have met you two." Clarke said with a smile.
"Well, I would've still given birth to Taylor, but still, it would've sucked without you both." I pat Taylor's shoulders, giving her the signal that her hair was done being braided. "Thanks mom." She kisses my cheek and sits down next to Clarke on the log.
"What about them? Do you think they'll come back too?" Madi asks. I furrow my brows, not sure that they're still alive. "Of course they will." Clarke says and I smile and look up at the bright star in the sky. "Ogeda, ai hodnes." (Together, my love) I whisper.

I walk over to the group, with Raven trailing just a few steps behind me. "It's technical, but um, someone has to run things from here." Emori shakes her head before saying, "So let it be John!" Murphy looks unimpressed.
"It has to be Raven." I say, looking back at Raven and she nods. "Once we have a truce, she'll come down with the prisoners." I look at everybody, waiting for someone to say something. Everyone keeps quiet, so I continue.
"If we fail, she'll take the ship's escape pod." Emori shakes her head. "If I'm flying solo, she'll be the only one." "You got this." I tell Emori. Everyone nods, and I yell, "Let's load up!" Murphy stays still. "Now, Murphy."
"I'm staying too." He says. "Look, Raven might need backup." I can't believe this. He's really not going home with us right now.
"What?" He asks, noticing that everyone was staring at him. "With Emori flying, this is the survivor's move." He waves. "See you on the other side." He closes the door connecting the pod to the ship.

Hey everyone! So this is my first story on this account, and I'm super excited! I've been waiting for awhile to publish this, and the day has finally come! Exams have been keeping me busy, but since they're over and I'll be going on holiday soon (it's short, but I'll be writing a lot) I'll be more active and posting regularly. Also, this was supposed to be a Bellamy Blake x Reader but I just really liked the name Reese and I just thought the name fit well with Natalie Alyn Lind's (The top GIF) look.
Be well, be kind,L.
