Chapter 10 - Just Friends?

     Veronica's P.O.V.

     "So what do you want to do today, before you leave to New York?" I asked Josh.

     "I don't really care, just as long as I spend the whole day with you." He answered.

     "Aw ok then, want to watch some movies?" I suggested.

     "Yeah, sure! Should we go rent some and watch them here?"

     "Yeah why not!" I replied, then we left to blockbuster. We got 'The Mummy' triology and a bunch of snacks. Josh paid for everything, even though most of the things were mine.

     "What movie do you want to watch first?" Josh asked, as soon as we returned to the hotel.

     "Well I don't know, maybe the first part?" I said sarcastically.

     "Right!" He replied, and I giggled.

     "I still can't believe you've never seen these movies!"

     "Well I don't have much time to watch movies!" He said deffensively.

     "Okay whatever, just put the movie on already." I demanded.

     "Okay, okay." He responded, then put the movie in the DVD player. We were whatching the second movie, and we were alreadyy half way done with the snacks. Well, I, was half way done with the snacks, Josh had only had a few chips and candy. I finished the last bag of skittles so I went to the kitchen and microwaved a bag of popcorn.

     "Oh, I love popcorn!" Josh yelled excitedly when I walked back into the living room with a bag of popcorn.

     "Ok, then here, have some!" I said, grabbing a handful of popcorn and throwing it at Josh.

     "What a brat!" He screamed and chased after me. We ran around the room for a couple of minutes, until I tripped over my purse, and Josh finally caught me.

     "Got yah!" He cheered.

     "You suck!" I complained. I hadn't realized it, but Josh was on top of me. We had eye contact, and stayed in silence for a moment.

     "You're so beautiful." He whispered.

     "What?" I wasn't sure if I had understood him correctly.

     "Veronica, I know we haven't known eachother for that long, but I have really enjoyed your company these days I've been with you. Would there be any chance, no matter how small it is, that you would like to be my girlfriend?"

    I was absolutely speechless! What was I supposed to say? Josh was a great guy, and there sertainly was no doubt that any girl would be super lucky to have a guy like him! But would I really be able to feel the same way about him? What if I didn't? What if I just ended up braking his heart and ending our friendship? Honestly, I didn't know what I felt at that moment, but for some reason, Niall popped in my mind out of nowhere. At this point, I was REALLY confused.

     "Umm I don't know what to say..." I finally replied after I finished my thoughts.

     "Well, can you at least think about it?" He insisted.

     "Ok, I'll think about it." I said in a sigh.

     "Ok thank you." He said, smiling. Then he helped me up. "Well I should probably head back home to do my packing." He said, heading towards the door.

     "Ok, I hope you have a great time in New York!" I replied, as he exited my apartment.

     "I would probably have a better time of you were there!" I just smiled at his comment.

     "Ok then, bye." He said, walking away.

     "Bye!" I replied as I shut the door to my

     (Back at Demi's Hotel)

     "Niall, wake up." Demi whispered. "Niall!" She said a little louder, since she had received no answer the first time. Niall simply replied with a moan.

     "Niall you're going to be late." Demi insisted.

     "Late for what?" Niall finally replied, in his morning voice.

     "You have to meet up with the guys at Louis' place remember?"

     "Oh shit!" Niall  checked the time on his phone and quickly got up and put his shirt on. "Okay well I have to go, I'll come again soon." He told Demi, and gently kissed her lips.

     "Haha okay but hurry so you won't be late!" She said, smiling at him.

     "Haha yeah bye!" He said, kissing her one more time, then he headed out.
