Jessie's POV
Mrs Park dropped us off at school Monday morning. We were a bit early but most students were already roaming around the school.
I might have been imagining things but I felt like everyone's attention was on me.
I tried to brush it off but then after catching 8 people staring at me before turning away to whisper at their friends I knew something was up.
I tried my best to ignore them as I walked up to my locker.
That's when I realized there was a note stuck to my locker.
My smile immediately turned to a frown as I read through it.
Jess my love
I'm so sorry for hurting you. I was an idiot to think that they could be anyone better than you out there. I know I made a mistake and I regret hurting you.
Baby I still love you and want to be with you. Please take me back baby. I promise to make it up to you.
Mark
"What's that" Anthony asked as they finished up collecting their books from their lockers.
I immediately ripped the note off my locker and tore it to pieces.
"Its nothing" I said as I rushed to class. I wasn't in the mood to talk about it. To talk about him.
Now I understood why the whole school was watching me. They were waiting to see my reaction to Mark's note. You can trust my ex to make a public display of our relationship.
He even confessed to me and asked me out in public. He broke into the principles office and announced it on the school speakers that he liked me and would like to go out on a date with me when we were still in high school.
I was embarrassed and impressed at the same time. I loved him and he meant the world to me.
We had fought in the past and broken up before but this was the worst he had done to me.
He can't just expect me to forgive him after embarrassing me with Olivia.
Not paying attention to where I was going I crushed into a wall. More like a very hard familiar chest.
I looked up and faced the last person I wanted to see.
He wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me closer but I pushed him with all my strength and got out of his grip.
"Jess please. Let's talk" he said taking a step closer to me.
I bit my lip as I held back my tears. I wasn't ready for this. Seeing him was still painful and reminded me of the day I saw him on top of Olivia.
I was so relieved when the bell rang. Without saying another word I walked past him and rushed to class.
"Jess are you alright?" Anthony asked as he sat next to me.
I nodded my head afraid that if I spoke the water works would start.
After getting my emotions in order I was able to get through the rest of the day without bumping into my ex.
As soon as my final lesson was over I rushed out. I was thankful it was a half day. I knew my friends wanted to know how I felt about the note and I didn't want to bump into Mark who would beg me to take him back and Olivia who would rub the fact that she took Mark from me.
"Jess" I turned to the now familiar voice calling my name in shock.
Axel was leaning on his car waving at me in all his glory.
I had seen pictures of him and knew he was handsome but I was not prepared and how breathless I would feel meeting him in real life.
Axel was an adonis of a man and I couldn't believe he was even showing an interest in me. Ordinary me.
"Hey. What are you doing here?" I asked as I approached him.
Wrapping his arms around my waist I placed mine on his shoulders.
"I was thinking of picking you up and taking you out for lunch. Anyway I missed you?" He said as he looked deep into my eyes and I couldn't help but blush.
"Didn't you want to see me?" He asked pouting.
"I did" I said as I blushed a deeper shade of red.
"Lets go then" he said giving me a bright smile.
He let go of me before placing his hand on my lower back leading me to the passenger seat. After closing the door he ran to his side and we were off to our lunch date.
Anthony's POV
Brandon and I couldn't hold in our laughter as we saw the look on Mark's face when he saw Jess and my brother together.
He had run after Jess but to his dissapointment he was already in another mans arms.
I wasn't shocked to see Axel here for Jess. He had already told me he liked Jess and he had my 100% support.
Jess deserved better than that asshole Mark. This was not the first time he cheated on Jess but the first time he got caught.
We always knew he was bad news but Jess was blinded by love and never believed the rumors.
Finally he could be happy and we were all rooting for Jexel to happen.
I just hope Jess makes the right decision because I know he is still in love with his ex.
