Chapter 4

Third Person POV

"Is she still not coming out?" Isen asked Remi as she shakes her head.

"If she has I wasn't there. It's been a few days already. I'm worried." Remi answers. Ever since Blyke got hurt Jade locked herself in her room, she only goes out to look for some food and use the bathroom only when no one is in.

"Maybe Blyke should talk to her." Isen says with a smirk making said boy blush slightly.

"Wh-what?! Why me?!" He asks.

"That's actually a good idea Isen. Let's go to my room and see if she reacts to Blyke." Remi says smirking too.

"But why me?" He asks as the two drag him towards Remi's dorm.

"Because it can only be you." Isen says as Remi opens the door and they push him in holding the door close for him not to leave.

"Assholes.." He says to himself glaring before looking at Jade's door. I might as well try. He thought before knocking on the door.

"Jade.. it's me Blyke. Can you open the door for me?" From inside Jade hugged a pillow while laying in her bed. She couldn't stop thinking, John could hurt Remi, Blyke and Isen yet she didn't know how to stop him without hurting him. She hugged the pillow closer when she heard Blyke.. they have been working so hard to figure out who Joker was yet both her and Isen knew who he was already and neither of them had told them.

"Jade please.. we're all worried about you.. I'm worried about you." Blyke says with a small blush, he meant it. It hadn't been very long since they met each other but he had grown attached to her. Jade got up with the pillow in hand and unlock the door opening it for him.

His eyes widen slightly at the action. Jade had her long hair covering her red eyes and cheeks while the pillow covered her breasts under the black crop top and her shorts covered only what they had to. Blyke blushed a bit more as he watched her in this state and walked in after her. She looked beautiful and complete vulnerable unlike her usual cool stoic looks.

"Uh, what's wrong?" He asks not really knowing what to say, he didn't expect to make it this far. Jade looks at him while taking a seat on her bed.

"You got hurt." She said simply surprising him. She was like this because he got hurt? That can't be it.

"I did.. but I'm ok now. Why haven't you left your room?" He asked softly making his way towards her. He sees her hug the pillow tighter.

"You know you can tell me.. did Joker threatened you?" He asks again finally making it in front of her looking down at her before squatting down to be able to look at her.

"...no." She answers but Blyke softly placed his hands on her arms causing her to look at him.

"Then what is it?" He asked.

"What have you found out about Joker's ability?" She asks him confusing him but answered anyway.

"Well he can't copy an ability without his opponent activating it first, he can use more than one ability at once, adds a boost to his abilities. We also found out that he can't copy abilities that don't have a physical feedback." Blyke says causing her to look down at her hands.

"I'm sorry." She says activating her ability for the first time since she got to this school doing the same thing John did with her fingers, Blyke looked at her fingers surprised as he saw the energy beams at the tip of her fingers.

"Wh-what?" He asks not knowing how to react as she deactivates her ability and looks at Blyke.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before but I was confused and conflicted, he asked for me not to tell anyone but now.." Blyke's eyes widen as he for the first time saw her crying. She suddenly got up and out the door opening the dorm room and looking at Isen and Remi standing there, Isen had his ability activated.

"Ah, hi." He says awkwardly.

"You don't have to spy on us just hurry up and come in." Jade says with a small sob making both Remi and Isen blush at how adorable she looked but followed her inside.

"As I was saying I'm sorry... I tried to stop him but.. I know him well enough to know he won't stop. He wants to take this hierarchy down by creating panic and distrust towards the royals.. and I'll be the first to say this isn't the right way but.. I agree with him." Jade mumble as she leaned on a wall and slide down.

"John is Joker." She said making Remi and Blyke widen his eyes as Isen couldn't figure out like she knew that if she was so new.

"H-how do you know?" Remi asks looking at Jade as she looked away.

"Because.. we're siblings." She answers surprising all of them.

"But how come your last names are different then?" Isen asks.

"I got my mother's last name and he got my father's." Jade answers.

"He asked me not to tell anyone and to be careful, that he didn'twant anyone connecting us.. now I know why. He didn't want me to be mixed up in all this." She said leaning her head back.

"Still his ability hasn't developed much." She continued looking at her hands.

"What do you mean?" Remi asked.

"Remember when I first got here? When you asked me how I knew there were other people here even though I couldn't see them? I told you I could see Auras. Right now John can pretty much sense the aura only when the ability is activated. I don't need that anyone." Jade started explaining.

"As time went by and I completed in more turf wars I started developing more my ability. Right now I know what a person's ability is and the level of it without that person activating it. It also means I don't need physical feedback. But when it's like an ability like Isen's where more than one thing is used I do need them to activate it. Given I only get an almost replica of the ability up until they activate their ability when I get the boost." She continued.

"But if his ability isn't developed like mine then it means he has a limit as to how many abilities he can hold at once.. it also means that once he deactivates his ability all of the abilities he had will be gone." She says looking at them.

"I don't want any of you to get hurt." She says sadly.
